1966 I saw this concert at coliseum in Portland ~Mick's hair wasn't chopped yet. He stood at the front of the stage and sang this ~ you could hear a pin drop. I was 17. Remember Brian Jones enthusiasm and great harmonica. Great concert. Great song. High Tides and Green Grass.
I love that Mick is actually singing, not lip-synching. The Stones were so awesome when Brian was still with them. I can't help but wonder what direction their music might have taken if he had been able to stay off the drugs and stay with the band.
@buckize68 yes , it was actually the practice to have the guest artists on TV in those days to pre-record an new instrumental track to the hit song the day before or so, then have live vocals when it was broadcast. See the Yardbirds "I'm a Man" on Hullaballoo
@12347771 such a dashing storntrooper - he he . They were such wonderful piss takers and so very stylish. The dulcimer weeps as Brian's left hand heals. What a unit they were at this point! What a fucking brigade!
Brian Jones, founder of RS is the creator of originality and nuanserof the RS music from the 1960's. Braian as Goden Stones are hard to replace. Rest in peace Brian

From a bygone era when human beings wouldn't think about performing their music in front of others unless the talent and beauty was there.

I'm glad I got to be alive during this period in music. Even if I was just a kid.
