How do such professional recordings get made of pianists simply ignoring specific details notated by the composer? While I do appreciate the performer's interpretation as well as the fact that Debussy is typically characterized as an impressionist, I must inform you that this is definitely not the impression of the piece that was written by Debussy. My main problem: two bars of the piece are written as forte, and one is spent falling to pianissimo; almost all other dynamics are p, pp, or ppp.

Great idea to mix the too btw, some other interpretations of Debussy's Clair de Lune are better though, this is not very subtle, too "loud".

yeah, debussy and monet have similar styles, debussy was known as a musical impressionist, and monet an impressionistic artist, fantastic idea putting the two together!

@Danaeh99 El compositor es CLude Debussy, la musica se llama Claire du Lune, la pintura por la que pregunta se llama La urraca, ergo en inglés "the magpie" y obviamente el pintor de TODAS es Monet. Y vos sos un ignorante de cuarta y un troll.

I am new to debussy and I absolutely love this composition. What is the song title and what are some his works I could find that are similar to this? Such as a solo piano? I would also be very excited to hear a violin involved with. Any suggestions would be great! Introduce me!

This song, or piece, is called Clair de Lune.

Some other are The Girl with the Flaxen Hair, Mazurka, Nocturne, Reverie, Valse Romantique and Ballade.

Claude Debussy is great :)
