There is nothing wrong with learning Vietnamese, chinese, spanish, etc. but you have to remember where you came from and preserve your culutural roots. Look at the big picture, Vietnam wants all of Cambodia. they will do things that will benefit Vietnam in the long run.

Do you know that "mieng" is slang for Khmer? We need to insist the use of the title Khmer just like the Viet force us to not use the word "yuon".

yes the vietnamese people do tend to use the word "ngay mieng" as a shorter name and somewhat insulting for khmers like for example in english translation "cambos"
