PARIAH is Greene's son. And in math, taking out a number (Alex) just gives you a different answer, not a failure. Alex WAS the center character, and now he isn't. At least Heller has some depth and likability to him.

No they didn't. PARIAH never appeared personally in Prototype 1. There's some sort of misinformed rumor that Specialist Cross was PARIAH. This isn't true. He transformed at the end because he was consumed by the Supreme Hunter during the evacuation, tricked Alex, then tried to consume him at the end.

It is also stated in an Ask Ken Rosman video (Which is basically a video where fans ask the developers questions) that we will have cool new powers involving Heller's ability to manipulate the infection and the infected themselves. So you're saying that Cross is Pariah, just because he said that he felt sorry for Alex? Who wouldn't feel bad if a formerly super powerful, injured person? And Cross wasn't CREATED to be that strong. The other super-soldiers were normal soldiers that got a boost. Cross was already better than them, and then he got the super soldier training. That's why he's better. Unlike the others, he was strong long before becoming a super soldier.

You seem to think that it's not possible for any human at all to be strong without being a Prototype or Pariah. You see how Heller is capable of killing hundreds of infected (something most of Blackwatch cannot do), does that mean he was 'secretly a Prototype' too? Or does your BS logic only count for certain people? Also, that's not a picture of Cross. It's Pariah, and it's impossible to tell how he would look as an adult. Even the Developers have stated Cross was human.

Why do you think that feeling sorry for someone means that you must have gone through something similar? I feel bad for orphans, but both of my parents are alive and well. Also, in Segment 6, there's a very good reason why they show cross during the cutscene soon after Pariah. Listen to the two voices. The person asking about Pariah and Greene is Cross. He's shown because he's the one the scientist is talking to during this scene.

And go listen to that segment again and compare it to any video where Cross is talking. When Cross' image is shown, the person asking the question is clearly him. That's why his body is shown. Because at that point, the memory is recalling the person he was talking to at the time.

OKAY, HERE'S WHAT I THINK WOULD BE COOL! In the final Showdown between Heller and Alex, it shows them staring at each other in Middle Park about 20 feet away from each other, then Pariah (from what i got from the first game, is Elizabeth Green's Son) lands in between them, then Alex and Heller team up to kill Pariah, and when he is dead, they presume their fight, but with epic, sad song, as both of them are extremely weakened from the fight. FUCKING EPIC!!!

How do you not understand it? In Prototype 1, there were three bad guys. Blackwatch, Greene, and Alex. Blackwatch's main goal is to purge the infection and Greene is dead. So Alex is the obvious choice. Greene made it pretty clear that she could have escaped at any point, but was waiting on Alex to come by. So she doesn't even matter in this. All I'm hoping is that the writers don't come up with some BS reason for Alex and Heller to stop fighting and team up.

There's plenty of cutscenes in-game that make it clear that Alex really does kill innocent people, even when not being played. In one scene, Cross and his boss (can't remember his name) are watching a video of Alex absorbing an innocent person, switching into that persons form, then walking off. So it's not just the player doing the killing. Alex kills innocent people, just to get answers. Blackwatch kills innocent people to protect the rest of the world. Who's the evil one?

Pariah is Greene's son and 'for the love of God' he wasn't Cross. Blackwatch has Pariah locked up in a secret laboratory somewhere. Cross is just a super soldier for most of the game, but is absorbed by the supreme hunter at some point before Alex got onto the aircraft carrier. Then it transforms again and attacks. Why is this so hard for people that have (supposedly) beaten the game to understand?

Also, it's directly stated that Cross chased down and killed a Runner from the Hope, Idaho incident. It's not very clear about when this runner was hunted, so I can't say much about age, but do you really think that they let Pariah run around in the city now? Also, it's unknown if he even has powers of his own.

Anyway, you don't need motivation to portray a person as 'The Best of the Best'. Sometimes in video-games (and in life) there's someone who's just better than everyone else. In Prototype, that person was Cross. I never said it was the SH that looked at Cross, but it's highly likely since SH was created from a mix of Alex and Greene's DNA. So the odds of it having infected vision like Alex make sense.

And it was pretty obvious that Cross didn't want the city nuked, which is why he helped Alex. Cross was shown to be the only sympathetic character. (Which is why he's one of the few Blacklight members whose face is shown. The Developers stated that it was to humanize him to the players) And since Cross has fought Alex and plenty of infected, it was highly likely that he too got infected. Which explains why he glows.

Thanatos is right, in some parts: Pariah is Greene's son, and he was captured 40+ years ago, but he is still held up in Vandenberg Air Force Base. He is still in the form of a child because he still has the powers that the virus grants it just can't be detected in his genes. The virus is known to copy genetics. The virus Pariah was born from is the perfect formation of that ability. Cross was consumed by the Supreme Hunter.

@TheStatisfiedOne The cutscene was meant to show the Supreme Hunter leaping over the fence to attack Cross.Although, it is not the complete from of the Blacklight virus it still retains some of the infected qualities, like consumption and infected vision. Remember, it was reforming its body after Alex beat it the first time. So its return at the end of the game makes sense. It used Cross's body and memories to convince Alex into doing its bidding.

Which is why Randall was going to kill him on the boat because he was too weak 'emotionally' to do whatever it takes. If you watch the cutscene you will see that the soldiers with Cross are infected as well. By the end of the game most of the soldiers, and blackwatch operatives are infected. In the Prototype Prima Guide it tells you that he is trying to fight the infection in his system.

Pity because Alex had become an inhuman monster. That's the kind of thing that deserves pity. Cross cares plenty, it's why he's the only Blackwatch soldier that doesn't come across as a total psycho. He wants to end the infection with as little death as possible. Cross is just as bright because he's been infected much longer than the other soldiers. Most of them don't even know that they're infected. Cross is aware and fighting the infection.
