  • not load ,hahahah

  • damn, i didnt realize the 64 was capable of these graphics

  • the only 64 game that really showed 64 bits lol this is my all time 64 game cause the cutscenes were epic

  • @videogamepimp22 Conker's Bad Fur Day, Perfect Dark & Turok 2 showed off the N64's power more, RE2 had pre rendered backgrounds, only the characters where true 3D, also, the cutscenes of RE2 on N64 looked like crap, and the sound was horrible, the N64 just couldn't handle what CD did for the playstation when it came to cutscenes. This comes from a huge N64 fan btw

  • FUN FACT: One of the developers who co-developed this port of the game (Angel Studios who was later renamed to Rockstar San Diego) developed the RAGE engine for Rockstar games like GTA: 4 and RD:R. It's obvious these guys are really big technical nuts with all these accomplishments.

  • FEAR IT'S 64 BITS OF TERROR!!!!

  • wow its nice to see people that dont lik RE4,5 as much as i do everyone here is probably older than me so they can talk from experiance but even if im young i can i can keep up with you guys....oh crap i just had a rebecca moment!! anyone here look and act lik richard?

  • If this was the 90s, most of us would be crapping our pants in fear by watching this commercial

  • 1 of my favorite games for n64

  • 0:27

  • resident evil 1 + 2 + 3 +gun survivor+code veronica +remake+zero= survival horror game.

resident evil 4 + resident evil 5 = action games, is like dead rising 2+ metal gear solid -_- what a waaste !!! poor resident evil. but the new resident evils are for new gamers that dont know the escense of the reals RE... resident evil 4 and 5 never but never will be clasics , what a shiity games, the worst spend of my life!!!

  • @sonicromer Take your illiterate ass back to school. ._.

  • fuck the new resident evils they suck, and modern gamers love all the steamy pile of shit the studios throw at them

  • @xxxCRAZYLOVExxx who are you to say that?if that's your opinion great, but don't insult other people because they think different

  • I still think nintendo 64 is the best console ever

  • i have this game for n64 but im saleing it with my other n64 games and my n64

  • @acesXhigh45 are you still selling your residen't evil game? how much and what other games u got?

  • get N or get out! LOL

  • omgggggggggggggggg damm I havent played this in so long sick graphics :D

  • Someone stop me if I'm wrong but Resident Evil 2 was the first of the series to be on a nintendo system. I'm correct right?

  • videogame commercials were so much better back then.

  • I didn't believe it, but now that I see it.. Wow.

Now we can only hope for Final Fantasy VII on the N64 ^^

  • geez how many versions of this game came out, wasn't the dreamcast version out before this one?

  • @pjdr yes there was. Also gamecube, playstation and u can buy it on PS3 AND PSP and computer

  • gr8 ad. luv it. luv resi games. my favs r 1, 1.5, 2 & 3. Resi 1.5 woz beta but still a classic resi game though.

  • @aaronjarvis1 resident evil 1.5 was the best just now extremely rare

  • @cor955 u know where 2 find it?

  • this version is the best !

  • I'm pretty sure a re-make is comming out for the wii sometime soon.

  • Some how the Game Cube version is inferior lol Great Game.

  • The Gamecube version was ported directly from the Playstation version, the only difference being the controls.

  • .... get it .. or get out..? Mkay?

  • How the FUCK did they fit that huge ass game onto the n64. This prooves that ghosts are real

  • they shoved it in mario's ass, thats how

  • I have this version and i still play it all the time!

  • leon looks alot different in re4

  • I have this game on N64. Its awesome, ahhhh These were the good old Resident Evil days. Resident Evil now just doesnt have that old game feel to it. You know what i mean. Anyway ya great video.

  • Kinda gone away from the Zombie theme m'thinks.

  • @lpfan245 I really hate people who hate RE4 and 5

  • Lock the door, Turn off the lights, pretend its just a nightmare. Gr8 advert.

  • yay for EXTREME data compression much? lol

  • haha I got a copy of THIS VERSION haha

  • lucky

  • i cant take a game seriously with a comentator like that

  • yeah, thye should of used the commentators they use for films

  • wasn't the Dreamcast version the best one though?

  • I personally prefer the GC one.

The GC controller just really works well for RE games in my opinion.

  • @gojira12345678910 Yes.But Re0 Controls Can Suck My Balls.i swear to god im not used to it.ive only Played RE4 And RE0.

  • @mariofreak955 But the control scheme of Resident Evil: 0 is the same for Resident Evil 1, 2, 3, Veronica X, Resident Evil: DS, Resident Evil (Gamecube Remake), Outbreak File #1 Outbreak File #2. The only time the controls were changed were in Resident Evil 4, 5, Dead Aim, Umbrella Chronicles. Darkside Chronicles, and some crappy bad one that I can't remember. Anyway, the controls are outdated and just classic, I don't mind playing like that again, it just gives me that old-school creepy vibe.

  • exactly what many people could feel about those games, the newer versions

just don't give the thrilling somewhat scary feeling that for example Resident evil 2

could give you, the old school camera still intrigues me, I still wish they could bring back the old school play feel.

advice: Resident Evil two was Originally made for the Nintendo 64 Console

system but was never released, instead it was released as an introduction

to the New Nintendo Game Cube.

  • I need MAJOR HELP in the Nintendo 64 version I did all 4 scenarios !! I saved and everything, I'm not sure if there's Mercenaries or Extreme Battle mode ;\

  • u gotta beat all senarios with a A ranking or higher, thats how u get 4th survivor. to get tofu Beat all Senarios with a A rank or higher and 4th Survivor with a A rank or higher. there is no extreme battle mode or mercenaries in the N64 version.

  • ..im sure u figured this out by now, but there as no Extreme battle mode on the N64; there was only hunk/tofu mission *fourth survivor*

  • more terrible acting from random people, just like RE1's opening

  • i remember seeing this when i was 10 years old.

  • so bad it was crap for n64

  • yes so bad that its actually much better than the psx and pc version

  • i had this version :)

  • i still got it.

  • Had? :(

  • Bring back memories...never played the n64 version i think there was extra shit in it too

  • awesome game no matter what system it was on, thanks for the ad, i could barely hear the audio, but the video is still awesome, thanks

  • The N64 was so superior to the PlayStation in terms of the Games it had on that they Port Resident Evil 2 on N64 and make it better.

I still cant believe, its like if Nintendo knew what games would be the best.

They didnt have the one before nor the one after. It had the best one and make it better.

  • wow i remember this commercial when i was 8 lol

  • Same here

  • Good old resident evil.

  • back of the game box sais its a 512mb cart?

  • I still cant understand how the heck could rockstar (yeah, rockstar was this port's developer) insert 2 650 MB CDs in one 64 MB cart, with FMVs.

  • well, the game needed an expansion pak to get it running.

  • It was optional.

  • Actually, it made the graphics better, so having the expansion pack really helps.

  • Actually, what he said was absolutely right, the expansion back was optional.

  • Nope, it could play without it.

  • It wasn't Rockstar. It was Angel Studios.

Part of that team did eventually join Rockstar much, much later on.

In any case, it's incorrect to say that Rockstar did it.

    ANGEL STUDIOS did it.

  • i always loved that phrase "get n or get out!"

  • ENDING!

    *BASH!*

  • "Lock the door"? Kendo did, so they went through the window instead.

  • the graphics are kicking!

  • they should do more commercials for the Re games, rather than the movies.

  • I really should get this game.

    For the playstation anyway.

  • dude musashi if ur gonna get this game get the good version n64! its the best version there is period not ps! not ps2 or gamecube! n64!

  • edthranger there the same on all consoles they didnt change anything your just saying its better for the n64 because you only have it for the n64 but i like it better for the n64 too because thats what i have it on

  • there was more background content on the N64 version in forms of files and whatnot. more back story.

  • @chanceyyyboy Nope. Ps1 dreamcast, pc, gamecube all got the extreme battle mode that wasn't on the n64 version. n64 had compressed video and audio files that made the game sound and look weird.

  • i remember this comercial!!! it made me laugh

  • nsjsjsjsd are you just going to stand there and take no action?!

  • Yea Dont Sit there like a Bitch and Take it!.Show that DumbFuck (Tardman984) What your made of!.XD

  • 0:19 annd 0:23 some crazy fake zombie in real life

  • yea i remember this commercial gotta love gaming in the 90's those were the good ol days

  • omg i remeber this advertidement

  • its too bad they didnt compress other psx games to port to the 64

  • i just meant like a console that primarily uses discs but can also read cartridges like the Sega Saturn could do, it would give developers the option to produce on discs or cartrdges then wouldnt it, games the size of Zelda and Banjo Kazooie were enormous on cartridges so surely cartridges are not as bad as some people - cough Sony cough - made them out to be at the time of the N64

  • that cartridge had 512mb not 64mb... zelda 64 has 256mb...

  • so if they could do that then (the compression technology i mean) they could prob do it a lot better now, maybe someone should look into it cos its damn near impossible to create illegal cartridges so if they could compress a lot of information onto a cartridge it would greatly reduce video game piracy eh.

  • The issue that arises there is the space available for games. While the compression technology was amazing, I don't think many gamers would enjoy a Blu-ray 30GB game compressed down to a 1GB cartridge.

  • @spidermann26 Not only that but it cost more to produce a cartridge than it does a disc, at the time N64 was still producing games the average price to produce one cartridge was $75.

  • I still haven't played this with the use of the expansion pack!

  • wow never knew that they can put like over 1gig on a 64 mb tiny thing

  • The compression technology was new at the time and very advanced for what it was. It is still a technological marvel what they did in terms of compression and graphic payoff.

  • Very advanced? Nope, just a lot of hard work and experimenting. Video itself was still MPEG1, I don't know what they used for the audio. Anyway, resolution was dropped from 320x160 to 160x80 and framerate from 30 to 15 (interpolated to 30 during decompression, though). It would have been interesting to see if N64 were capable of running H264, even at the ultra low res 160x80.

  • yeah it was just the work of very dedicated programmers
