I was at that concert, fucking amazing show. I was right in line with the stage, though a bit up in the lower 200's. I was surrounded by the hottest girls I've ever seen in my life, all jumping and screaming and shit.
You can't change the fact that Thayil and Cornell couldn't agree on diversifying their music; nor can you change the fact that De La Rocha made himself bigger than the political causes he believed in. Rage had trouble banging out 12 new songs in 12 months, whereas Audioslave can kick out 12 songs in 2 months and everyone in the group can musically explore whatever dimensions they want to and not stick just to metal-punk (Soundgarden) or play back-up rap (Rage Against The Machine).
I am fan of both Rage and Garden, so I was fired-up to see that there was a merger between the bands once the aforementioned groups were defunct. But for all the haters, if you don't like Slave, don't listen.
