  • does any body have an estimate price for this because the xo-1 is 1,000 dollars and it goes 100mph.would this be double.im just wondering plz respond back

  • Ur gay dude

  • Why dont you use REAl Tire rubber wheels? They will be more durable. And dont make it too dense.... The body Should be having a slightly tapered nose, More tapering required... And use something like duct tape to seal the front... Use little Nylon strips that are stiff but bendable to stop too much air flowing underneath... And get a larger tire :D Make it hollow so it conforms to small bumps and not flip..... That ought to help :D

  • best part was when it blu up lololololol thats what happens u use power puff battery and foam tires

  • this guy is an idiot he didn't even build it associated did

  • @romeo032982 suck dick

  • You guys should launch it off a ramp and see how far it goes

  • anyone eles see that pinon?!?!?!

  • That wus cool get a nitro

  • @feltking2011 nitro engine would make it go from 200mph to 60mph

  • You guys are qwazy !!

  • dose anyone know how much that motor by its self cost

  • Traxxas is getting close

  • that was 'xcitin :)

  • and i thought 71mph slash 4x4 was fast! i cant wait to go 100mph:-)

  • nearly there nic!

  • i should put that motor in my mini e revo with a tenbol. :D

  • was that Nic Case?

  • For some reason, i want to attach a great big spike to the front of it and drive it into George W. Bush

  • @Sargethepyromaniac ....*looks around desk* ... hmmm, I have the phone number for the US Secret Service around here somewhere...

  • @Odessa45 Dunno why i picked bush, plenty of douchebags on the list, he just came to mind first (Y)

  • try using out-runners instead of in-runners i hear they will always have ore power than the in-runners

  • @ostiaspedrin111 This is true, out-runners have more torque, but not near the RPM of In-runners. If you need direct drive slower moving parts (air-plane propellers), out-runners are the choice. For raw speed, like this case, in-runners.

  • @ThermalOverload ..... um..... well...... :/ why not use more voltage to get the rpm you need with the out-runners? or is it that out-runners cant stand high rpm? please answer meh (yes i i know this isn't a forum)

  • @ostiaspedrin111 Don't worry, someone correct me if Im wrong, on top motors only handling only so much input voltage, they can only spin so fast before they fall apart. In-runners can spin faster on less voltage in general. Since motors can only handle so much voltage, you'll get more RPM through an In-runner. And less rotating mass and parts means more stable.

  • @ThermalOverload hmmmmm..... :/ gyro effect you're 100% right. why didn't i think of this? i h8 you now >.<

  • @ostiaspedrin111 Because motors can only handle so much voltage. They melt, or fry, or tear themselves apart. I can't tell you specifically why Out-Runners are lower RPM, but they are. Common our-runner Kv is around 1500kv, . In -runners range from, can go from1500 to 10,750kv of course there's higher or lower.... Kv Being RPM per Volt. If a motor can only handle a 3s Lipo, and it's 1500kv that's 16650 RPM max. Try to go over that voltage, you're back to melting, frying, blowing up again :l

  • Hey Nic well done those new wheels look great, hope you see 200 soon mate,

    todd

  • Hey Nick... congrats! What an awesome car!

  • Nice Car. Good job guys!!!

  • Thanks guys

This was put together from 2 test sessions, one in December & the other in March.

Should be out for an attempt in Late June or July

    Cheers

  • WOW, how the heck do you guys control the car and see what your doing at those speeds? Where is the driver, in the middle or at one end of the track?

  • 167mph is really fast.Good job guys.

  • glad to see your knocking on the door Nic , coming back to the Rock to set this record?

  • awesome Nick, glad to see you using PowerEdge batterys!!

  • Excellent project, can't wait to see 200mph too! (for you, not me lol) I will say though, the last 33mph will for sure be the hardest. I'm sure you guys know all about how drag works by now. I'd say more downforce, but that of course equals more drag too. How are those foam tires holding up? Good luck to you!

  • Congratulations Nick, your a true inspiration to this sport. Extremely impressive, insane. You will achieve your goal.

    Cheers

  • how many S, mah and C did you use?

    What about the gearing ?

  • Get some better highspeed HD cameras for this!?!

  • Almost there, 33mph to go. Just need a tail wind or a cop chasing you!

  • good stuff11

  • Well done Nic and AE!

BTW, that may pass for fog in Bakersfield but we'd call that a light mist here in the UK! :-)

  • @RCSpeedChampionship

Thanks for the kind words ---

Hopefully you'll just have an extra-Light mist -- this weekend for the UK speed run trials. Good Luck to all ;-)

    N

  • wow did I hear that right 267mph?

    yeah FIRST POST!

  • @MrJohnnyUnion No they said 167mph
