Thats simple. Even when people die, people say your nails still grow etc.. This is only in appearance. When the flesh goes back or gone etc.. Yeah, some canide or carnivore or dog, bear, marten-like animal in a rather 'medium through' stage of water corpse decay. The nose, because it can have been invested by insect larvae prior to the cadaver becoming submerged, would rot off as one of the first. If that's the same creature as on other videos with less resolution, I'd call them dog or badger corpse. For a racoon it looks quite large, though a corpse having been submerged can look blown up a fair bit after a while.

If you look at it you will clearly see that the "beak" is the bone of the snout that has been either rotted away, or eaten by crabs, and, or other creatures that might live in the water where the animal was found. You can clearly see the nasal cavity. Last time I checked beaks had the nasal openings on the side, not the front. Anymore bright Ideas Starberry ?

A dog is very possible for this one but this picture isn't the first, original one that appeared on the news...that one had a beak. But people always ignore details that are inconsistent with their "normal, conventional" explanations..as long as most of the details match. I've heard the 1 that looks like a hornless bull with a beak be explained as a turtle with out it's shell but if that was so..there would be no solid back, it's spine is fused lol. @sledesigns1 I don't think anything is missing. I don't think it's a rottweiler as he says. I would believe a short snouted dog though, that either died of mange or had its fur stripped from sea salt. The reasoning for thinking that nothing's missing with the nose though (other than flesh) is that if you look at the nasal cavity of most animals, they are proportionately larger than you would think, seeing it with flesh. Take a cow, for example.
