Could be the drive belt. Check the water pump for any loose bearing and fir leaks.

Oh, I certainly hear it now! Ha, Hmm, check the serpentine belt tension, and the tensioner itself....if the bearings are bad it could be rattling. Or heck, it could just be loose.
