HI MARK I HAVE PSE 7 AND WHEN EVER I USE THE BRUSH OR ERASER AND WHEN I USE IT THE MOUSE POINTER STAYS VERY SMALL AND NEVER ENCREASES IT STAYS AT A POINT. IT DOESNT GROW TO THE SIZE. How do I access the guides, you know - the blue vertical and horizontal lines to help with spacing and alignment? I'm accustomed to using them, but PSe7 appears not to have it, even though I can see it in the, "Snap To,.." menu,.. Normally I'd have the select tool, and would drag from the ruler, but it's not working, and I can't see any editing options in Preferences. Please help, the guides are important to my creation of game-level, (map), textures for Unreal Tournament (UT99). Thankyou. :)

So, you need multiple photographs of the same object (in this case, the statue) in order to remove the people? What if you just have a single shot of an object and need to remove the people present in the shot?

If you remove the people, what's behind them? The camera didn't pick that up when it took the picture, so, there will just be a blank space.

Yes, you can do this on full Photoshop version. This is one of basic things what photoeditor should know how to do. I can do this kind thing in 15-20 seconds on GIMP. Photoshop Elements just includes lots of automatic (very rough such) scripts to do things so user do not need to learn real image manipulation working. This is just good news for real professionals.
