I remember just walking into best buy one day when I was younger and I didn't have any games for the computer and I wanted to see what kinds of games there were. I saw on a discount rack a game pack with 100 games and they had a 2 for $15 special and right next to it I saw Sonic R!
I loved sonic but didn't have a sega genesis at the time. This is such a great game and brings back so much nostalgia. I would wake up early on saturday mornings, boot up the computer, put in Sonic R, and let loose!
Sonic R... I rememberplaying it all day, even though I could finish it in one hour. I would just start again. I loved the music, I loved the game. Its still on my PC. GOsh, those were the games.

@PaperMario2013@PaperMario2013 Actually, I may be the only one (and lack of playing it recently may be giving me delusions), but I prefer the game too - just the whole fact that there was things to collect - like the emeralds and the coins - and the extra stuff was awesome - like the freeze tag game and racing the ghost - and I loved the multiplayer mode because not only could you race but you could play pop the balloon which was great fun. I have many happy memories of that game :)

@Sukuun I've defended my statement on these comments before. I spent my childhood playing this game, I do enjoy playing mariocarts but Sonic R had so much more you could do, not only did you unlock stuff by collecting items, you had those doorways you opened using rings - it was just so interactive, and then there was the other non race stuff, the freeze tag, and then the multiplayer options, find the balloon was great fun. It won't work on my computer now but I have great memories of the game.

when i race against tails doll (whit metal sonic) i run first but i NEVER! stop because i say "OMG!! I HAVE TU RUN! TO THE END BECAUSE TAILS DOLL IS BEYIND ME AND HE GOING TO KILL ME" I ISN´T STOP RUNING XD
And I've did this curse 3 times and I didn't die, so if I can't get this curse right in 3 tries, then there's nothing to fear. Metal Sonic and Metal Knuckles are the ones who want to kill. And Robotnik built the Tails Doll, it's only scary if he hid NSFW pictures of himself within the stiches of the Tails Doll, then you will have something to fear (and throw up to).
I fail at fearing the Tails Doll, I don't find it scary. The only strong emotion I had when racing it was when I was playing as Super Sonic and I looped it and I was ROFLing LMAO. Tails Doll is as slow as f**k! He tops Eggrobo, Robotnik, and Amy, but come on! Why are we so afraid of that SNAIL?!
Now how come Metal Sonic didn't kill anyone in the said manners? I actually think Metal Knuckles is the scariest, especially in Sonic Advance. I thought I was fighting Knuckles (just like Sonic 3K!) but then he EXPLODED and then he was launching rockets out of his mouth, jumping and gliding all over the place! That was an awesome fight though, but in Sonic Adventure (DX), Tails Doll dies in one hit, you kill him as E-102 Gamma along with Sonic Doll and Knuckles Doll. Not kidding.
Lol I don't know why I love this song so much. It's so cheesy......but I can't help but love it. Guess it reminds me of my childhood. I smile everytime I hear it.

@Deeeplyshallow it's only because these songs have lyrics to them. Mario kart doesnt have this epic themes because of the lack of vocals. I wish nintendo would stop being stingy and let music groups get in on the Mario bros.

@PaperMario2013 @PaperMario2013 Actually, I may be the only one (and lack of playing it recently may be giving me delusions), but I prefer the game too - just the whole fact that there was things to collect - like the emeralds and the coins - and the extra stuff was awesome - like the freeze tag game and racing the ghost - and I loved the multiplayer mode because not only could you race but you could play pop the balloon which was great fun. I have many happy memories of that game :)

@Sukuun I've defended my statement on these comments before. I spent my childhood playing this game, I do enjoy playing mariocarts but Sonic R had so much more you could do, not only did you unlock stuff by collecting items, you had those doorways you opened using rings - it was just so interactive, and then there was the other non race stuff, the freeze tag, and then the multiplayer options, find the balloon was great fun. It won't work on my computer now but I have great memories of the game.

Brilliant tune, brings back happy memories of playing sonic R' with all me mates back in the day. Being into house music back then, this was definately one of our favourite tracks and there were times we'd just play this track over and over. Oh what happy times. And I've did this curse 3 times and I didn't die, so if I can't get this curse right in 3 tries, then there's nothing to fear. Metal Sonic and Metal Knuckles are the ones who want to kill. And Robotnik built the Tails Doll, it's only scary if he hid NSFW pictures of himself within the stiches of the Tails Doll, then you will have something to fear (and throw up to).

I fail at fearing the Tails Doll, I don't find it scary. The only strong emotion I had when racing it was when I was playing as Super Sonic and I looped it and I was ROFLing LMAO. Tails Doll is as slow as f**k! He tops Eggrobo, Robotnik, and Amy, but come on! Why are we so afraid of that SNAIL?!

Now how come Metal Sonic didn't kill anyone in the said manners? I actually think Metal Knuckles is the scariest, especially in Sonic Advance. I thought I was fighting Knuckles (just like Sonic 3K!) but then he EXPLODED and then he was launching rockets out of his mouth, jumping and gliding all over the place! That was an awesome fight though, but in Sonic Adventure (DX), Tails Doll dies in one hit, you kill him as E-102 Gamma along with Sonic Doll and Knuckles Doll. Not kidding.
