The votes came in about half an hour later and this song lost to the wild card, and we came last, and apparently we blamed Europe... our version of Eurovision seems to be the worst song wins.
The judges said that she should have won. In my opinion proffesionals should choose as they know what will work in Eurovision. The public vote for people, not the song that will win Eurovision.

It's a fairly nice song and it's catchy, but it would seem to me that Michelle Gayle doesn't stand out at all. Sometimes you can't even distinguish her from the back-up singers.
Now that I've seen all of Britain's submissions, I would say that Simona's and Rob's were the two best, in tune, lyrics and voice.

Much as I love Terry Wogan, was it not he that had the casting vote which chose Andy over Michelle? Like Andy or not, the song was so far below the man's talent level and was insipid and uninspiring. In much the same way as the pirates had stuck out (in a fun way I thought) in the line-up this year, Michelle's song would have at least stuck in people's minds and made a strong impression. Then, we could have seen if the Balkan blok vote was the problem!

It's a fairly nice song and it's catchy, but it would seem to me that Michelle Gayle doesn't stand out at all. Sometimes you can't even distinguish her from the back-up singers.
Now that I've seen all of Britain's submissions, I would say that Simona's and Rob's were the two best, in tune, lyrics and voice.

This song is far worse but any song the UK puts forth will be destined to be at the bottom of the heap with the public voting. They should do away with that altogether and go back to juries.

I dont watch the x factor or any of the identikit "search for another pointless one hit wonder to steal xmas no. 1 from somebody who actually deserves it" shows and I wanted andy to win because he had the best song and performance. If we had entered this then we wouldnt be joint last, wed just be last-the practically guaranteed 8 points from british diaspora in ireland but no 6 points from the sammarinese jury because this is just like any other song in the rnb charts at the minute

And this IS original, it's like something from the 60s but not too old fashioned - if u bothered to tune into the RnB charts you'd know this is nothing like RnB, it's completely different thus it's original. Much as I love Terry Wogan, was it not he that had the casting vote which chose Andy over Michelle? Like Andy or not, the song was so far below the man's talent level and was insipid and uninspiring. In much the same way as the pirates had stuck out (in a fun way I thought) in the line-up this year, Michelle's song would have at least stuck in people's minds and made a strong impression. Then, we could have seen if the Balkan blok vote was the problem!

I was watching songs for eurovision. When I saw this one, I thought: Well, here we have the winner of eurovision 2008!!! It's a good song, it's catchy, full of energy, rythm, it's funny,... And then I realised this wasn't the one they were sending! What happened!???! The one they sent was nothing!!

IMO, this song was deliberately not put forward for Eurovision. This song would have had Europe going crazy to dance. Andy the Binmans song was absolutely bland and dull. It was like one of those songs you listen to in the car, but you can't change cause you're driving so you put up with it anyway. BBC
