It breaks my heart that people don’t support the military. The reason this country was founded was on freedom. We fought to show the world there was a better way & we are still doing that. As much as we like the sound of peace, as a human race we arn't without violence. I'm not saying killing anyone is wrong but you can't do anything good by going against our troops. On the surface it may seem that there was no violence, but i am from Pakistan and i know my countries history. the amount of violence that occurred, the number of people who died is unimaginable. trains would leave India filled with people heading for Pakistan, and vice-versa, but on the way everyone would be slaughtered.

The first things I'd like to say is that I served 4 years in Iraq, and I had a brother that never came home. We both fought for a cause that we lost faith in, when you pull the trigger and someone dies, it becomes different, more real. I'm not saying that what they did isn't bad, but what we did was wrong. Taking human life, for whatever reason, is wrong, while I was there, I did things, I saw things that made me ashamed, I don't want to be ashamed of my country anymore, I want to be proud again

As much as we like the sound of peace, as a human race we arn't without violence. I'm not saying killing anyone is wrong but you can't do anything good by going against our troops. These people sacrifice themselves everyday for ungreatful people like you, leave there families and safe homes not knowing if they will return. Its probably more then you would ever sacrifice. @Schrage100 Well my brother is a SEAL, and he joined because he loved his country, and had absolutely no problem aiming down his sites and shooting an enemy in the forehead. I plan to follow in his steps, most soldiers feel completely right about shooting a terrorist, I'm not sure what the hell you're talking about.

Somehow, I think that everything happens for a reason. For the better or for the worse, it's not up to anyone to judge. Everyone in this world has different mentality so you can only speak your mind out. If everyone was the same then why don't everyone be called Adam and Eve right? So practically, like it or not. This is the world we're living in ladies and gentlemen. Frankly speaking I don't like war or all the crimes that is happening but somehow, I guess we just have to accept it.

I wouldn't even be shocked if the invasion and oppression of Iraq and Afghanistan made more people become extremists. Basically the US is helping the extremists make other muslims believe, that they need to fight if they ever want to be free.
If the U.S. moves out there MIGHT be another attack on america someday and some or even a lot of people MIGHT die because of it. On the other hand, if the U.S. stays it's inevitable that there WILL be people dying on both sides all the time.

@SuperDeeder i agree with you, but your example is very wrong. 1947 is when Pakistan broke of from India to form a new country. On the surface it may seem that there was no violence, but i am from Pakistan and i know my countries history. the amount of violence that occurred, the number of people who died is unimaginable. trains would leave India filled with people heading for Pakistan, and vice-versa, but on the way everyone would be slaughtered.
Please use a better example of history.

The first things I'd like to say is that I served 4 years in Iraq, and I had a brother that never came home. We both fought for a cause that we lost faith in, when you pull the trigger and someone dies, it becomes different, more real. I'm not saying that what they did isn't bad, but what we did was wrong. Taking human life, for whatever reason, is wrong, while I was there, I did things, I saw things that made me ashamed, I don't want to be ashamed of my country anymore, I want to be proud again

I respect your amount of bravery for telling us that. I know its hard to talk about this crap to almost anyone. My dad hardly talks about the things he had to do in NAM.....I deeply respect your ammount of courage. -L.K

I think you people need to serve a term in the military before making your rash statements against our policies. You will never understand the situation, until youve been there. Lets not forget that the media has been responsible for starting wars, so I believe we should entertain the thought that maybe they have corrupted the meaning of this war. If you believe what you see on TV, then you are pathetic. Join the Army or another branch then you have the right to trash the US and its ways.
