Just noticed.. the most astonishing thing about your music is that I get the feeling of knowing you personally whilst listening to it. That's what true musicianship is all about.. either you can put your personality and emotions into your songs (or way of playing) or you can't. That's a pure talent, you can't learn it. Before I saw a couple of your videos as speaking of the bass guitar first thing I would think of are metal and jazz/blues and I didn't know about this style of bass play... it's great and your music is fascinating...

how do you come up with the strange tunings you use, and how hard is it to change learnings of scales from standard over to these tunings. i'm really curious about this

just different combinations that work well musically. and i don't know any scale in the altered tunings i use. i just play the piece in that particular altered tuning. in fact, i actually don't know many scales in standard tuning!

In 100 years or so: Music history students will learn about Zander Zon and discover how he helped popularise solo bass guitar and became one of the most important musical figures of the time. Children will be taught bass guitar from an early age as a substitute for the recorder, and will learn to read bass clef before treble. As notes and coins will faze out, bass strings will become the new form of currency and source of power. Oh and we will time travel in telephone booths with Keanu Reeves!
