  • wow that intake filter must have given you like 50hp?.....u have any stickers on you car?

  • @ROBBY639

    stickers? yeah...it says ROBBY639 is a cunt ;-)

  • @superrams34 ...sweet, i didnt know i was famous!!!...

  • Yes you will suffer from heatsoak. The exact reason I ripped mine off and got a tegiwa.

  • ive heard that the k & n typhoons reduce your power in ep civics? :/

  • I like millage cool

  • Id rather keep mine standard. It performs well enough with all the normal kit on it.

  • @djdavedoc

    Each to their own bud....

  • @superrams34 Yep fair do's mate plus you have to declare it to your insurance company and that will jack up the price.

  • @djdavedoc some people like the throathy sound.

  • hi how many cost the civic type r ep3 2003 year in England??

  • i love that sound had one on my 2004 ctr got an impreza now might buy another civic jst 4 that noise again

  • Just got a cat-back on mine, Not only worried about heat soak on inductions kits; also worried about moisture ingression - especially during the winter months.

  • sounds standard n probably making less power

  • @HENRYHOBBS1

    oh really.....

  • @superrams34 honda make a pretty good engine n fiddling wid the inlet side of things normally reduced power due to heat soak

  • @HENRYHOBBS1

Good job ive junked the K&N for an AEM cai then ;-)

  • @superrams34 k&n makes heat shield for the majority of them

  • hey i saw in ur ova vids that youve got a dc sports exhaust, wat part of the exhaust is it the header?? i was wandering if it made any difference in power.... i want more power but no increase in noise and noticed yours didn't sound any louder or deeper compared to stock?

  • @rockon1990

Hi, it's just from the cat back on stock headers. It's not overly loud when cruising or at motorway speeds. Howls on Vtec though! :-) I can hear it more now i've swapped the K&N for a AEM cold air intake too.

  • Vtec's are decent for what they have I guess...and there is a reason why you dont shift after 9,000 RPMS. its redlined for a reason. if you got a stock engine with stock gauge. they put redlines for a reason. First of all a lot of VTECS power bands is optimal shift of 6800 to 7200 RPM til your engine is loses effeciency. then your just over revving. if you raced him and he shifted at 7200 rpm and you at 9,000. He would pull away from you and u risk damaging your engine. have fun!

  • @Vettes4lyfe you sure? do you really think that engineers would put redline to a point, where your engine damages? I'm pretty sure, that redline is at a safe amount of rpm to prevent any damage. And also, I would like to be there when you race a vtec engined honda with a same type of car, and you shift at 7200, and your opponent shifts at 9000, and see your face crying that your buddy is pulling away. Cause if you shift early the next gear is out of vtec range and now you are really losing power

  • @hasnyalmirigy I wouldn't buy a v tec first of all, and second Redlining is there for a reason. Say you race and redline it few times your engine will be fine. If you want to redline to race, optimal for this car in the video would be 8,000 rpm, You try and push 8000 to 9000 you will actually lose performance and start increasing the chance of mechanical failure. The safest and best power output would be at redline not past. so yes i would win if he went to 9000 rpm on every shift.

  • @Vettes4lyfe that's completely right, I thought you are talking about vtecs with 9k redline, or modified engines with that high redline, because in that case, thats there for a reason, like my ek3 redlines at 7200 and max power is at 6500. In a case of a stock ctr like this, 8k is just fine, no reason to rev higher.

  • @hasnyalmirigy haha exactly. If you got a modified engine then the stock gauge will be off of what your car is built to do. if they had 9000 redline of course top shift point you would want is 9k. and that what brought me to my original post as in the redline of this car is 8,000 but I think the powerband for this car is 7200 to 7500 most output in its powerband. Least we got this all resolved :) you got vid of your car?

  • @Vettes4lyfe that's right, i like it when a "debate" comes to a good ending, like we are not arguing but got the point

you can watch vids of my car on my channel, got some playing vids, and i'm working on a short film which has a pre version uploaded also ;)

  • @hasnyalmirigy Lol I know right that's the best way a debate can end haha make some good friends along the way. Hopefully i'll get a camcorder soon to get vids but for now im vid less :( broke the old one and lost everything :( I'll check out your channel when I can :) good luck with the short film!

  • unreal vid! hard te beat the vtec!

  • Sounds nice but I wish they were quicker.

  • fuckin sweet vtec kick y0

  • Why didnt you go OVER 9000!

  • @integymike00

    because i respect my car....boy.

  • @superrams34 your ment to rev the nuts of vtec cars! the only way there going to go anywhere fast.

  • @superrams34 And because your ECU is stock and it wont rev higher than 8250 ;)

  • @superrams34 because your a pussy more like! Vtec is built to be abused, the ep3 engine is especially bulletproof!! These cars love to be driven hard, its what they were designed to do same as any high revving twin cam engine. All your doing is costing yourself performance by short shifting. Now man up and grow some balls or go buy a 1.2 and let someone deserving buy your car.

  • @djhillnigg

Great....just what the world needs, another hard man behind a computer screen. Now do us all a favour boy and go take your face for a shit :-)

  • @djhillnigg

obviously you don't know shit about the ep3:

1st, there is a 8250 fuel cut, so he can't go up to 9000.

2nd, the con rods on ep3 are not balanced to go that high,

3d, peak power is at 7400, no point going over 8500, if that were even possible because it isn't

so now keep that kiddo crap for yourself

  • @superrams34 lmao why didn't you go over 9000rpm lol i bet he doesn't really own a car to understand the running cost etc and how utterly dumb it would be to rev to 9000rpm everytime yea i agree vtec's can take abuse just like a bmw e36 m3 loves the cut out doesn't mean your going to drive through the town on the cut out lol lovely car you have sounds like a beast

  • @superrams34 Dude you buy a type r to grandma the motor.. You buy a type r to fucking run the shit out of it untill it blows and you buy a new motor..

  • @integymike00 he didnt go over 9 grand cuz its a honda bag of shit go get a real car or truck buy a v8 and see what real torque and power.

  • was the cameraman wankin?

  • @CrustyLoveLips

    Yes I was.

  • EP3 Is My Fav CTR. Love The Real Clear V Tec ic In at 6000 Rpm. One Of The Best Iv Heard On Youtube Yet. Very Nice Mate

  • just got a typhoon for my ctr and heard i may need to remap the ECU does anyone know if i will?

  • @rossctr87 no mate, it'll be fine :-)

  • @superrams34 cheers pal. sweet vid btw : )

  • @rossctr87 You dont't have to...but if you have money and you wanna hear 9000-9500 rpms and a louder vtec, the spoon's ecu is a good idea ;)

  • YEAH BUT STADERD APART FROM THE BACK EHAUST

  • Comment removed

  • yeah, standard apart from a dc sports cat back

  • amazing, not over the top but just nice.

  • So is this the standard engine with just the Typhoon fitted?

  • Nice ;)
