Thanks man! What kind of mixer do u use? Is it possible to do this on computer software? I have a producer who does this for me, but I would really like to learn to do it myself!
Im gonna bring my peers to this video because your on to something..IT is a LOUDNESS WAR! I'm trying to get my peers to realize that. You can't be into the sinal you have to make as strong as possible with as little distortion as possible if you can. You juts reinforced my view!
Ma'an thank you..I have been having that problem scince I started producing. people saying the loudness taking away from the clean signal. Saying the louder you make it the more you take from the signal. But at the same time. If you dont do it that way your music will sound weaker if you don't push it as you say! IT IS A LOUDNESS WAR!!! Im with you brother!
Haha...is there such a thing?? I'm just saying - the landscape's changed plenty since most rap's been going for pop/club play. Take Dre, Jim Jonsin, Timbo, etc - those snares are as loud as possible, as wide as possible, and usually have a good amount of reverb on them.
plus, with all the blogging and net exlusives that artists are involved with these days....tracks that surface on the RADIO are jus ruff PT mixes. consumers cant even wait for the tracks no more, they wanna hear that shit as soon as its bounced! man!
good words. i work with one of the artists you played in the video, and i must say, times are changing. no longer are these artists resorting to mastering houses and million dollar equipment....you'd be suprised how many released material consists of a decent mix and a l2 on the master bus! lol
I am not a fan of genre but your mastering sounds like a million dollars, really professional.
