Great song but one sided, because Sting heard just one side of the "story", so for him and many others- Russians are only ones who are responsible for the Cold War

I have to disagree here, only a little though. In the last lines Sting says: "What might save us me and you, is that the russians love their children too". Here we see that he thought it was both sides fault. If the russians, and other countries in the Soviet Union,, wanted to end the war for their family, and people in the USA there would be no one to go to war. Also he says "Mr.Reagan says "We will protect you" There you can see he don't have faith in USA either.

Beautiful song, and yes I can see yyour point...Americans, Russians, and almost every country have nuclear bombs and it doesn't mean that Russians don't love their children because I am sure that the people in Russia aren't heartless, then again that is in the past now, but we can reflect on it. It depends from the way you look at a prospect...

A perfect song. I'm Russian. And I wanna tell you: never ever believe, what your government says, or our government says. Those times Russians didn't want the war. Everything because of that damn ideology. Governments were afraid that one of the sides may get a better weapon, and that's why appeared that race of weapons. But Russians always wanted a peace. We are people, and we have to live in peace. And the governments can go to hell.

Really, really great. Saw it today in history class. I think this song is really shows how people thought about it in that time. I like the 'we share the same biology' part, because it's just so true.

And here you can see, that there were people who were afraid of what could happen.

But the one thing made me thinking, isn't this a kind of propaganda. Because what I think of this, is all he says against the Russians. But the fault is on both sides.

But still a great song and video!

But what about the other nations who have nuclear bombs, too?

Do the Americans, the Israelis, the British and the French (not?) love their children.
