Obviously we is a great artist and his work should be shown more widely but the text of the video runs to fast, i would hve preferred longer viewing of the images. And why is the video so patronizing? And why why why was he put in the type of prison known as 'a nursing home'. Clearly he is an intelligent man and should have been supported to live independantly. I am very pleased to se his work and i wish him well.
I love his art! And I love his spirit. He was a winner with humility and in no way insane. Cerebral Palsy is an injury, isn't it? Anyway, this is almost pure fantasy. It was a dream before he made it happen. He had some spunk, determination, and no lack of esteem for himself or others. He was wonderful.
@5163plus9279 Cerebral Palsy is caused at birth by a lack of oxygen at birth. Countries that provide more resourses at birth have lower incidents of the condition and tend to have a lower infant mortality rate.
This video has GOT to be a nominee, (or probably, the winner), of my just proposed "Best of YouTube Awards"! Grace, polish, poise & talent --Mr Smith has it all! Has he tried T or alternative medicie 4 his eyesight--& CP? Can u do the same art o a computer? (Don't stop makig typewriters, manufacturers!) A beautful, insiring video! Mr. Smith's body ma hav CP...but his mind & talent hav sublimeness beyond compare! Bravo Paul! Bravo YouTube 4 presenting this
Outstanding video, but panning the camera across the text or zooming in or out is ruining the experience. Love the images, but hate the splash screens because more often then not the entire screen can't be read.
His work should be sold to benefit those with Cerebral Palsy.. As the mother of a boy born 15 weeks premature and told that he would suffer "100% mortality" ... My son is now 11 going on 12.... Who knows what he will accomplish!
Paul Harvey did a "Rest of the Story" on Paul Smith heard 10-30-2008. I live in Sacramento and thanks to the internet, I heard it live on KEX Radio 1190 in Portland. Thank you KEX !--The Infowizard
What an amazing thing! I think the franklin mint or any of them collectible companies should step up and contact who ever has the rights to his works and reproduce them to be sold and profits could go to cerebral palsy research.
this was outstanding. I had received an e-mail just today that showed his pictures and it sparked my interest. I looked a little bit on the internet for his biography but then decided to look on youtube. LOL! glad I did. simply amazing. It makes me wonder if those people who were born with similar conditions or other conditions, if they were given a chance, what things they could of accomplished.
This man was amazing. How is it that truly talented people are overlooked when someone like Tracey Emin with her crappy so-called "art" gains fame?
