  • very nice! I just want to say thanks for your great videos. you don't yell into a crappy mic or say "uh..uh" yo" and you explain everything so it's easy to figure it out. between you and warbeats you made learning fl studio so easy. I started with 8 XXL now I've upgrade to 10 XXL and I love it

    THANKS ACE!

  • lolololol "less gay"

  • good job on the tutorial man great music

  • Sorry for bothering, but how did you make the "bass" notes grey on the "piano" piano roll? Do you have any tutorial about that?

  • @ilhadosmacacos Yeah, I was questioning that too. I was thinking that it was just something basic so i didn't want to bother looking like someone who didn't know what he was doing. But I'm asking your question.

  • @6Seraph6 those are ghost channels, you can make them visible in the piano roll by clicking the arrow in the upper left corner, helpers, and make sure, ghost channels is visible :) and then, if you are working in the same pattern with more instruments, there they are. hope it helps, cheers!

    You're an inspiration.

    Anywho :-) Thank's Ace!

  • this is one of the better songs i like, i mean this shit sound like some old school quiet fire r/b with a woman singing a love song. oh what a lil bit of guitar and knowledge can do. for u guys asking what daw 2 use, its up 2 u. ppl make daws the shit the daw dont make you the shit. it starts in the head.

  • just awesome :)

  • I loved the closing words :) Very moving.

  • Nice stuff aCEMAN. Thanks for the tips.

  • are you god of flstudio??

you seem to know too much??

  • you are very talented MUSICIAN!! I can't believe you can't play piano but can make music like this. you must love music so much.

  • FL Studio isn't childish, it's not unprofessional and it's not a "loop" program. Also, it does not sound horrible if you use it correctly.

    Nice video btw Ace :)

  • Hmm.. FL Studio is a professional music making software

  • Yeah thats what I was trying to say, it was a reply to serfox1's comment :)

  • The point in a DAW is not to 'use it correctly', it's to 'use it creativly'. If I had to use my DAW correctly and conform to some sort of set of rules, all my music would sound the same. If I do not want to use it correctly, and want to be creative, and the result sounds unprofessional, that means its not a professional daw.

I shouldn't have to twak anything to make it sound 'correct' or 'professional', it should be professional out of the box if it indeed is. The rest is my own creativity.

  • If you use a DAW that makes your music sound good even tho you dont use it correctly, its not a good DAW in my opinion.

You can use FL both correctly and creatively.

  • So... by your definition, no one needs to know music theory? Not even simple stuff like chords, or key, or even tempo.

Granted, real music comes from the heart, but if its all out of sync and off key, well.. if that's you're thing, I guess.

  • I like to think this video proves otherwise.

  • @serfox1 yeah you need to take a second look at FL studio. You've been playing with the kiddy demo version or something. You really don't know what you're talking about.

  • @DJDaffaDill Five years of higher education and a degree in music composition and technology says I do. Sorry :P

  • @serfox1 oh so you're fluent in FL studio then huh. With that fancy degree in music composition.

  • @serfox1

Seems like you do not know nothing =)

  • @Analkalle And you'd be correct, because I do know something! In fact I know a lot! :o

  • @serfox1 how can you seriously say that? i am a reason user and this song sounds brilliant - all softwares are pretty much the same apart from different ways of doing stuff

  • @roflman79 Come back to me in a few years..

  • @serfox1 I completely agree with you, but ONLY when people use sounds from the program...you know like making a melody with a keyboard using sounds from FL... FL is actually a dope program for samples... like real vinyl samples with real vinyl drum breaks... obviously an SP-1200 has a more crunchy crispy feel to it, but FL is very visual, and it has good filters... also the piano roll is more in depth than reason... in my opinion obviously... no hate

  • @KickBack90sBeats If you're not going to use it's in built sounds, and use it like a real DAW, then why not use a real DAW? Cubase, Logic, Ableton, Record, FL has a very childish, fisher pricy look to it's visuals, it makes a lot of things too easy which hinders professional production, the filters are nice, but they're not fantastic. The interface is restricting in quite a few ways, if you want to use it fine, but if you want to be good, use something less of a toy.

  • @serfox1 "The interface is restricting in quite a few ways"

im a fl studio user, im also familiar with the other sequencers. Id like to know what ways FL is restricting its user. Im asking cause I might learn something new.

  • good video you should talk tho like in ur other ones.

  • nvm because i realized we wouldnt be able to hearthe good music. my bad good video

  • Just beautiful. :3

    Keep at it!

  • Yes, you are tha man.

  • Yeah, I used my real guitar as one of the instuments once... Its great to play around with...

  • nice video man it seems that you are much more into the technical aspects of fl studio, but you know some times if you just press record and pick a vst things come together that you would have never guessed keep it up cause u kick ass!

  • You could make any kind of music with FL. You can switch time signatures, record audio and such.

  • how do u switch time signitures?

  • In the Project Settings menu page. It is in the tools menu.

  • thanks i found it

  • options, click project, then time signiture.

  • thanks
