I'm not a Geordie i grew up in Stoke-on-Trent, only been living in Newcastle for about 5 years now. Sometimes it's hard to understand them but i'm getting used to it xD
i love being a geordie and we dont all sound like this man he has a very broad geordie accent no offence but its more of the older generation that sound like this
@danielle100190a Oh the're trying to change it all now to NewcastleGateshead, this being because the millennium bridge sage and baltic bring so many tourists?

@Anya576 i love mixed up accents! i sound fairrrly northern but come out with a southern accent at random times. no one ever knows where i'm really from ;P

the accents sound horrible when you hear it on TV or the radio, I'm from Northumberland and hate been called a geordie! I'm Northumbrian not a gordie lol but love newcastle well some parts.
This is great! I am an American who lived in Newcastle for five and a half years. This makes me homesick for Newcastle! Would you mind posting the words to this on this page? I am teaching a class at an American Uni and want to play this for my students. I understand *most* of it, but would love to have the exact words to hand to them. Thanks!
I understood it, and I'm Egyptian born and bred....but I'm such a huge Newcastle United fan that I took the time to learn the accent... Howay the lads like!!! for the pride of the Toon!!
