Don't know if you still hang around on the route, but them seem to be regular on a sunday now...Today, just saw a class 222 East Midlands fly through barnsley and then about 20 mins later a East Coast livery HST.
Wonder if they will use this line for the new Y shaped route?
No this wasn't the Barnsley to London service, it was a Leeds to London service which went via Barnsley. It did not stop at Barnsley. The service ended some time ago
@globalcentralline this train was not empty because this is the one i was on from london going to sheffield to get a northern back to barnsley we didnt expect it to go this way :)
Hmmm, i live here and isnt it a bit strange that a HST is at that platform ! Usually just Northen. And it always bugs me at meadowhall is it pronounced Adwick or Adick as he's sayin?

I think its empty coaching stock because HST are too big for Barnsley. Usually 5 car 222....

It would've been on Leeds to St Pancras, but they don't usually go via Barnsley

There is a train from Barnsley to London St Pancras so maybe it was that one. Think it leaves bsly around 8am
