all my friends loved this album we rocked it up and down the gorge, hearing it brings back sights and sounds I had long forgotten...dan reed network rocks
This was my fav of there's it is soooo fun to dance to! Just saw Dan last night at a show in Seattle he is doing a different style of music but he through in a few old ones for his long time fans closed with this song it was so fun seeing him perform it again!
they kind of sound like they are a rock band but wanted Princes production. That production style works for Princes great music, but for a funky rock band, i think they could of done without the 80s keyboards.
MAAAAANN I LOVE these guys!!! They ROCK!!! I've worn out 2 cassettes of Ritual & 1 of Slam....now I can download them (technologically challenged!!) and continue to rock on!!!!
I love this song so much, still remember when Dan Reed Network played in Sweden in the late 80:s, and I still have my vinyl with Dans autograph on it...
I bought the album after hearing "Get to You" and wore out three tapes in two years and after my friends listened to this album they bought it themselves. That's how bad DRN's debut album was. Polygram Records did a terrible job promoting this great band.
Woke up the morning after he performed at The Bite in Portland with the words "I'll wrap you up and take you home for sure" in my head. As I lay there wondering what the heck I had been dreaming about, the song kicked in at "get to you"
Yes, they are from Portland Or.! Although, they have all spread out now. All of them are still Rockin too!! They are all wonderful friends and I still love listening to all the old stuff!
this band was one of the best live shows in Seattle in the early 80's. they used to wear make-up in the beginning, thank goodness they got over that fairly quickly. too bad the US didn't embrace their music as the Europeans did. FYI: I guess Dan Reed (solo - at least that is how it's advertised) will be doing some acoustical show sometime at the end of May in Portland
wow - I certainly didn't mean to offend you! Or your mom! Make-up or not I still loved this band and their music. Their music was original and let's face it - thay knew how to entertain an audience.
This is a DRN video I haven't seen, but to one of my fave songs.....nothing beat seeing them live at Key Largo in PDX back in the day. Sure wish they'd reunite...
Loved DRN since the 80:s. But there are so many songs Iwould like to listen to. Didn´t they make videos for all their songs? And if they did, please can anyone tell me where to find them?
Heard Slam in the 90's but now just got the whole lot of DRN. They are absolutely f***in' awesome!!!! They do it all! Their cover of Pink Floyd's Money is amazin'!!!!
Reunion please!

@TheNewsoul2 - Polygram, Arista and Chrysalis were all pretty good at applying the kiss of death to promising rock bands.

Saw them at the Roxy in LA in the 80's, probably the best live act I've seen. Wish they would come back.
