If you must fix your rotary often it's because your less intelligent than me. Because my motors last forever under high HP application with OEM parts. I know I'm not magical, so it must either be that I have a bigger dick or brain. And I only use my dick for tear Downs, not rebuilds. So it must be that I'm just smarter......1: stop using cheap parts ( Atkins Apex seals) 2: learn how to rebuild an engine. 3: get a better tuner. 4: stop turning up boost with a FPR and walbro as your only mods.
Car is gone now, yeah rotary is nice when they run, but yeah i rather a piston motor, this was my first rotary i learned it, i liked it but still rather piston motor, i now have a 240sx with a RB25 swap in it, say this car was a piece a shit, whatever, it was setup to be a drift car, thats y it only had a 35r on it, had plenty of fuel ran on AEM ems, stock motor, coolant seal was bad i got fed up with rotary and got rid of it, if i kept the car i woulda went LS1

@Tj1056 WRONG! If you have to rebuild the rotary 10 times v.s. a piston engine, the rebuilds for the rotary can get quite expensive. Especially if you have warped housings (cooling issue) or ruined housings due to an apex seal that let loose. You will see, Trust me. LOL I will be laughing at you then for sure.

ANY engine that overheats, is going to have issues..... blown head gasket, leaking, cracked cylinder walls, cracked pistons, warped head, metal has fatigued/annealed the list is endless..... ANY engine that overheats ALSO can survive an overheat if its taken care of immediately. Pull over safely, idle for 5minutes, turn off and let it cool for 30 minutes with hood open and drive carefully to destination and diagnose overheat problem. its that simple

My guess is it spools quick from idle. The hot side doesn't look all that large. Maybe a 1.00 or .82 a/r? Dunno if it's divided housing or not with divided manifold so it's really hard to say but an educated guess tells me it spools fast and hard. A small (rx7 wise) turbine a/r with a clipped wheel would be able to flow a decent amount of air up top and still give a nice, broad powerband. The car isn't a piece of shit. It just has some bugs that need to be worked out. Stop hating.
