The way I see it is that they both played aggressive ball and each held their own. It should be the same in the NBA.
Alot of people make negative comments about Ricky and say that he can't hang with NBA players, but that's just bull. he played well this game. I just wish he would look to score more. He gets into the paint easily but its like he is afraid to miss or get his shot blocked. When Ricky gets over that he'll probably start averaging 6 or so ft a game & upwards of 15 pts. I've seen him play in Europe, he's the real deal. A few thoughts/facts: In Europe they only play limited mins, nobody plays 35-40 mins. Nobody. Also, they only award assists if no step is taken, hence, 5 assists are like 8 in the NBA. He has a 6'9" wingspan and is considered by NBA scouts to potentially be the best defender at the PG position in the world. He's the best ballhandler you're likely to see, just ask Kobe. Rubio is a great passer. Now that he's in the NBA, Timberwolve's players will knock down these passes that Ricky is capable of throwing. Minnesota has a great team. Now all they have to do is be motivated, dedicated, and they will have a great franchise. at least in my opinion.

I've seen him play in Europe, he's the real deal. A few thoughts/facts: In Europe they only play limited mins, nobody plays 35-40 mins. Nobody. Also, they only award assists if no step is taken, hence, 5 assists are like 8 in the NBA. He has a 6'9" wingspan and is considered by NBA scouts to potentially be the best defender at the PG position in the world. He's the best ballhandler you're likely to see, just ask Kobe. @MrCROSSOVA jose calderon got considerably better when he went to toronto and he wasnt even a pure point guard early in his career he changed himself into a pure point guard and he got better since coming into the nba and i think at the very least he going to be as good as calderon and has the potential to be alot better if he works at i..t if you look at old tapes steve nash really changed his game from college into the nba he improved greatly year by year so who knows if ricky can do that also

he went against Chauncey Billups, Derrick Rose, Russell Westbrook, Stephen Curry. They ALREADY are the most capable players out there my friend. Ricky is an amazing pure talent (and a joy to watch), whether his game will adapt and make an impact in the nba or not remains to be seen but he deserves a try. How many raw talents do you see gettin picked in an nba draft? Many, although I don't see him as being raw. Theres no question about his skills thou.

It was a great match with Spain trailing USA and it got decided at the very end and he never felt like out of place. He earned the initial spot in the team after Calderon's injury and Spain didn't miss him at all.
