Anyway, it is true that an egg cell and a sperm cell both contain 23 chromosomes (most of the time) but that doesn't have anything to do with the fact that both these cells combined "can possibly develop into a human being at some point", i.e., what Huckabee was saying. If we continue to get inexperienced politicians in office, we will get more Barack Obamas in there then the country wil go to hell in a handbasket. I completely commend him for doing that. That is what he wants to do. He is not being brainwashed. We need more parents to teach their kids about politics and to stand up and know what is right from wrong. But we must let them choose their side.

Totally agree with U "relifcofgold". CONSERVATISM is an ideology of "protecting the people and the people rights" !!! "protecting KIDs and KIDs'rights". Why don't you (you journalists, politicians and his parents) offer him a drink (alcohol) and a cigar ? And what if he was attracted by one of these 2 gorgeous women and was dating one of her ? Would you still find it irresistibly smart ? What about your "personal responsability" in letting this very smart young boy play ADULT games ?

Don't misunderstand me (relicofgold) I'm not supposing that you agree with CONSERVATISM ideology cos it's really not the issue here. An embryo by definition is fertilized.
Yes, these embryos often are unused from in vitro...but they are ALREADY fertilized.

Those are not the only choices. Human embryos that are no longer wanted by the family can also be placed for adoption. Organizations like Snowflakes have been helping couples through embryo adoption for years now

Some kids are into baseball, others are into math. This kid is into politics. He's well spoken. Obviously, he knows what he's talking about. People say, "how dare his parents, pound these thoughts into his head!" I say, he's into politics... cool. I'm into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. My parents didn't "pound" that down my throat. They supported me. So, whatever. I like this kid.

Yeah and this kid's a natural at it. Most adults involved in politics can't talk bullshit nearly as adeptly as he. Respect for the constitution? Personal responsibility? A general respect for life? If a conservative is that which respects the constitution, respects life, and has personal responsibility; and a liberal is the accepted opposite of a conservative, then is a liberal a jobless, murdering anarchist? I doubt he truly believes that of course. He simply doesn't know what he believes.

I'm simply saying that he doesn't fully understand what he's saying. I DID, afterall, say that he can't possibly really feel that way. The problem is, his description of conservatism is so generalized and vague, that he comes off as saying that. Both groups believe that one should respect life and the constitution and have personal responsibility - they just have different methods of showing it. But he's saying that this is the way of conservatism only. This is his folly.
