  • unimaginable project! driven research! awesome machine!

  • imma go there and cut one small wire and the whole machine will be useless

  • The infinite particule "smallest" will not create an BlackH.. But this amount of PARTICULE mass will -->(Exploding everywhere).AND "RIGHT THERE*inside LHC)" IT WILL NOT SUPPOSED TO BE.(completely Unstable)/(This is only possible if the energie to come out still enclose.)

That's why it gonna implode into a blackhole with all inside the U falling into.

  • The Beginning... I believe!

  • im hungry.. & horny

  • Why do you distrust the scientific advances? The investigation is positive and always it represents the future in positive. Without investigation there isn't advance. It would be fantastic to know how it might have been the big bang, but isn't necessary to have afraid, please.

  • @HAGHAPHE31416 There is NO big bang I THINK.

Something I know = BH don't exist. Why? Simply because no one can explain gravity exactly and then the most big part of the U, who sounds already like an empty BH.

If something would happens it's not : beggening or end???

it will be the end of an new beginning because our Universe will be destroyed and fall into unknow until The U disappear totally to "0".

That's why BH don't exist... but I beleive we could create something new U/ BH

  • beggining or end ......

neither i say this thing has too much power there for it will keep breaking down

    simples.

  • @bizness2009

lets hope so mate whos knows what it could do if it worked

  • The project starts having force. After so many investment in time of study and economic contribution, a definitive success is desirable.

  • Ok, so if it works and they create a mini big bang, then I guess that means our universe is inside a Large Hadron Collider too. My question is this "if the universe was created by a big bang then what created the particles that caused the big bang?"

  • that is the question

  • God cant be destroyed

  • You cant destroy what doesnt exist.

  • @kyus74 But He does exist, alright! I feel sorry for someone who says something like that. Just because you can't see something, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

  • @kyus74 You confirmed the Universe "empty" can't be empty much more or changed? like we are already lost.

  • when is this thing going to be turned on does anyone know?

  • they are fixing it, it will be on on october, unless something goes wrong again

  • aint it wierd that this LHC looks like the partical accelerator on terminator 3

  • that should tell you that the movie makers knew what a particle accelerator looks like...

  • Additionally, magnetic monopoles are a totally different issue and one which has also been investigated (and is NOT a risk!) along with strangelets (again not a risk) and strange matter suddenly eating the normal matter in our universe (also NOT A RISK!) It's insulting to know that so many people have that little faith in scientists that they think a collaborative international group motivated and united by a simple desire for knowledge would purposefully put the world in danger

  • No, is the end of ignorance, only.

  • Stargate ;)

  • I am what you earth people call alien being

this project is a must for your kind

you will see things you both want to know and see

and you will know and see things you wsh you never seen

please accept your futer it is critical

  • i agree and knowing that we have mostly french people doing this i guess we better just hide lol

  • haha roflcopter the frenchies and there funny mustaches will go ho ho i think we did it BOOM! goes the world =P

  • When the Worlds largest particle accelerator was fired up on September 10, it only got to operate for about a little over week before an electrical problem, causing a liquid Helium leak, forced the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) to shut down operations. Researchers over at the European nuclear-research organization (a.k.a. CERN) have not yet determined the exact cause of the fault as they wait for parts of the accelerator that were supercooled to come back up to room temperature.

  • Hmm!this really makes me think of the mayan profecy 2012.(time of no time)

may be they`ll have it ready by then.

  • What kind of machine is this suppose to be? Is it some kind of time traveling or something? Or people are just trying to glitch up the earth and all the planets? WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!!!

  • if this works were pretty much haxing teh universe l0l

  • What do you mean haxing?...HUH?!!!!

  • HACKING LOL!

  • ALRIGHT THEN!!!!

  • YEAH LOL!

  • stargate-to open portals to other dimensions-they think there are 11 now...at cern.Looking to re create the Big Bang, the "great singularity".ALICE detectors...through the LOOKING GLASS-time travel or viewing.Just because scientists can seems many will-without considering the time rifts already created in the Philadelphia experiment/Montauk/montauk chair...&some other nasty stuff-PLAYING W/FIRE

EPIC fail with cryogenics so far-skynet was launched wasn't it? weird

  • alice detectors? what´s that, master of all things?!

  • the LHC will engineer 600 million collisions every second of subatomic particles called protons, which will explode in a burst of new and previously unseen types of particles.

The experiment could confirm the existence of the Higgs Boson, a theoretical particle named after Peter Higgs who first proposed it in 1964 as a way of explaining how matter has mass.

  • Robert Aymar, director general of Cern, said: "Coming immediately after the very successful start of LHC operation on September 10, this is undoubtedly a psychological blow."Nevertheless, the success of the LHC's first operation with beam is testimony to years of painstaking preparation and the skill of the teams involved in building and running Cern's accelerator complex."I have no doubt that we will overcome this setback with the same degree of rigour and application."At full speed,

  • Cern said an initial investigation suggested a faulty electrical connection between two of the accelerator's magnets could be to blame. The collider requires temperatures just above absolute zero (-273.15C) to allow particles to be steered around the circuit. But as a result of the fault, the temperature of the magnets rose by about 100C.The affected area of the tunnel must be brought up to room temperature to allow engineers to inspect the magnets, and this process will take three or four weeks

  • The machine created a sensation around the world not just because of its record cost and scale but because of claims it might cause a black hole to form that would swallow the planet. Those in charge of the project at the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (Cern) dismissed the concerns. Now, though, they have revealed that a large amount of helium leaked into the tunnel on Friday, forcing the particle accelerator to be shut down.

  • The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) near Geneva, designed to re-create conditions cosmologists agree existed at the beginning of the universe, was switched on two weeks ago.

It fires beams of particles around a 16.8-mile tunnel at near light speed with the aim of smashing them in to each other to mimic the effects of the Big Bang.

  • Don't do this, you're going to fuck up the earth. Just live your life.. Instead of worrying about how to control time and shit! GOD DAMN!

  • "how to control time and shit"-hmmm

quite intellectual response-we don't need you making decisions about something you have no idea what you are talking about

  • Hmm.. Mark, what do you mean "we". No, it's "you". I do know what I'm talking about. Worrying about Global Warming, Illegal Immigrants, ect. would be way more important that colliding two protons together. And I used "to control time" as an example, so you know nothing what you are talking about. So thanks. 43 year old.

  • i dnt get these ppl who are insulting these guys for creating this device they get funded by the government to set this up themselves they are Physicists basically they're not charity for the poor and are not biologists for creating new cures, i bet you tehy're funding THEM organisations just as well. I mean its like asking why cancer research dnt find a way of building a faster car...its not thier field, live with it

  • its too good to be true. I don't think anything will happen at all.

  • The LHC could be capable of creating a micro black hole, which would have a very short lifespan. No worries here. Now if they could create a huge black hole, then there would be something to be concerned about.

  • i dont think they should do this, it doesnt make sense...if something goes wrong we could die.

  • My question is WHY???? So we find out how the earth was created. Then what? Oh and did i mention that there is a possiblity that it could annihilate us all? Just seems like a useless waste of money to me.

  • you screw with god he will screw back we cant smoke weed but morons can blow up the earth what is this world coming to

  • i wonder if someone there becomes like HULK after being hit by the particles?!!! hahahahaha

  • something wrong with his accent.. probably he was in the lhc during testing and particles were hit on his voice box.

  • LHC Tunnel DOTCOM is F/S on eBay!!

    Ebay Item # 160282551867

  • This is really sad.. instead of helping anyone these selfish people just want to test a theory.. Build some houses for people who have nowhere to live.. Buy some food for starving children.. Cure some diseases.. What a waste of money and brainpower..

  • if i find out the end is coming id do what the things id always wanted to do :))

  • Siete degli allarmisti del cazzo! se per il 2008 o per il 2012 non succede niente vado a prendere quella merda di Menphis75 a casa e gli faccio passare la voglia di usare internet per le sue stronzate!!! AAAARRRRR!!!!

  • Prepare to see ME naked at the streets!

  • Gordon Freeman: I'm preparing my crowbar, this time is for real!

  • prepare to see the naked man run around the streets

  • This is the equivelant of Black Mesa. The prophesies of Half Life will be realized.

  • lol did you just say a video games storyline was a prophecy ? maybe halos prophecy will come true too, maybe starcraft was trying to warn us about the zerg zomg *puts on tinfoil hat and robe*

  • huge group of people write a book and lastly get married now im asking you teens, young adults, and of corse adults whats your dream? i myself think that money isn't worth a thing if you never achieve your life goals

  • hmm let me think back O RIGHT THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE ON THIS PLANET fucking retards think there money is all thats inportant in the world hey to however comments on this page think. If this experment fails think of everyones dreams what are they we'll never know. You wanna know what my dream was i wanted to sing my heart out in front of

  • or get really turned on and wanna do u

  • OH- it is fun to look up God's skirt! That is what scientists are doing. Scientists are the new High Priests. -Them and CEOs...

The only thing is sometimes when you look up God's skirt, you get slapped.

  • The audacity to try and prove what is already just a "Theory/Darwin's"/hence "God Particle" is a redundant, irrational act and will accomplish nothing more than..another theory. This is obviously so carelessly planned at the get-go knowing full well that LHC is already dubbed the nature of "mysterious STUFF". Yeah! FULL BEAM AHEAD alright! Right back to ground zero!

    GO SLUGGER TECH-IES GO!

NEVER EVER TRY AND FOOL MOTHER NATURE, ever hear of that? I think I will go hurl now.

    Thank You

  • while hurling, please die in a fire, then come back to life and die of every disease known to man at once

  • do you think if the world would end scientists would create such a machine,i agree it cost a rediculous amount of money but without tests like this you would not have the internet that you all love its fact how does all the information get sent around on your pc. not by magical pixies i know for sure. lets all get over it and not belieive all the hype created by the media that also cost us billions of pounds.

  • Why would they even attempt this if they knew that there was even the slightest risk that the world would end? Nosy mother fuckers!

  • This guy sounds like a shit salesman with a mouth full of samples. I can hardly understand a whole sentence because of his "accent." Dial 1 for English!

  • There is one troubling thing about science and the ultimate understanding of the universe, the 'Theory of Everything', though.

If you try to teach modern mathematics to a monkey for its entire span of life, you will fail miserably. The monkeys brain is simply not wired to comprehend what you are attempting to convey. Therefore it can be considered a physical restriction. What if men are also restricted in such way and no matter how good the teacher we might never understand what we seek to find.

  • I think we are a bit smarter than monkeys though. Some are anyway.

  • This machine cost's what.. around 12 billion dollars? how can you cry about that when billions have been spent in iraq not even in the pursuit of knowledge but to secure oil?

  • I'm aware that we are smarter than a monkey ;) Would be a shame not to. Nevertheless there might be such physical restrictions for us on a much higher level than there are for the monkeys. It is highly questionable if our potential intelligence provides enough capacity to fully understand nature, especially after having discarded the benefit of revolution.

  • @smurf88

Thank you, finally someone who sees the potential in all this and not just pretending to be the next Hawking throwing doomsday theories out of their ***

  • "This was a triumph. I'm making a note here: huge success. It's hard to overstate my satisfaction. Aperture science. We do what we must because we can. For the good of all of us Except the ones who are dead. (Chorus 1) But there's no sense crying over every mistake You just keep on trying till you run out of cake And the science gets done and you make a neat gun For the people who are still alive!" YES! HAHAHAH SEARCH FOR APATURE SCIENCE STILL ALIVE
  • This and more is possible. See my page for more theories.

  • There is virtually no risk. It's worth learning something new about the universe rather than ignoring it and never advancing.

  • theres not going to be a black hole idiot

  • i agree with yourbald, all that wasted money could be spent on all the starving people in the world like places that have no clean running water!! and other people in todays society that are struggling with life, they dont care those scientists, as long as they have the fat wad of cash for what they are paid to do.

  • Had mankind always focused on the poor without trying to advance its understanding of nature we'd be living in a dark time and those you desire to nourish by the cost of that experiment would barely even exist.

Where are the people that see use in science? Where are the people that are driven beyond the reaches of modern understanding by their personal curiosity...

  • Scientists are those that have made humanity what it is today. Were it not for the mankinds intellectual ability and permanent curiosity we'd still be living in caves at the foothills of a mountain.

  • these are one of those retarded replies from people who aren't educated....

This is y u wanna go to school and study hard, so u don't end up like this person.

  • If not for the US Congress, TEXAS would have had a super collider SEVERAL TIMES LARGER than the LHC. After 2 billion and several years, congress chickened out and pulled the plug on what would have been a boon to mankind... CHEAP ASS IDIOTS!!!! Meanwhile we continue to spend TRILLIONS in the most sensible ways:( Talk about a WASTE!

  • I love you Mom,Dad,Sis & Bro & for those who owes me monney you could still pay till september.Oct 21 will be gone.

  • They will blow it somehow... i dont think it would be like doomsday bang but something like the whole CERN and the area could demolish and that expensive machine ofcourse too,

But i still think that this is the most exciting machine and experiment that's happened in my life.. Great video, 5/5, im very excited about what will they discover or what kind of disaster will happen

  • I've over read the theories and conclusions.

The machine is definitely not safe , considering that no man knows the nature of every aspect of what we are dealing with.

    I give a 75% chance of survival.

  • anyone who thinks its gonna end the world is just listening to too many scare mongerers.

anyway if anything "dangerous" does happen it wont be happening till october when the real experiments begin

  • Actually the dangerous part was really the start up of the machine and the only repercussion of that has allready happened.

  • And why would that be? An acceleration of positively charged protons by superconducting magnets is not what people claim to be the source of danger. It's the energy exerted upon collision which, if anything, has to be feared.

The acceleration process is completely harmless and so far nothing more has happened at the LHC. First collisions will take place on 21st September.

  • What this invented for? What do they want to discovered and unlock secrets of?

  • the universe, open your eyes rohitvip,we are merely meaningless bacteria in this huge structure(exsistence)

  • hi bud , i didnt realize , just merely meaningless bacteria could unlock secrets of the universe , have a great , grand , good ole , fantastic , fabulous , day.

  • well we probably can and thats what makes living in this era on earth so fucking exciting!

  • Hey guys pls subscribe to markdavidarchuleta channel and i willl sub back to u!

    this is my challenge!

    So help me

    P.M Me If u did

Thanks.Btw check his account on my subscriptions..

  • When I heard the news about 'END OF THE WORLD' topic. Me and my friends fell off from our sofas! and said like 'WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?????' WE WANNA GET OUTTA HERE HELP!

and the next day everything is cooled down.

This topic became the biggest talk in the century! anyways nothing happened yesterday. Everything is fine :)

  • duh they only turned the thing on but they are doing the experiments in november

  • weehee im alive!!!

  • u all might find this weird, but im actually quite excited whatever the outcome. Whether it be a Black Hole of A big Bang. 1 thing confusing me though is this Higgs Boson Particale or 'God Particle'?

  • ce naiba ma baieti credeti in toti cocalari de pe youtube .... doamne dak voi credeti in aia incetati sa credeti in dumnezeu ba hadnicapatilor si oricum experimentul nu va merge bine credetima dak nu se intampla nik ... sa vedem noi pe 20decembrie 2008

  • Nostradamus' quatrain 9-44 also seems to predict a black hole catastrophe in Geneva. I usually don't believe in the "end of the world" scenarios that come out, but for once I'm siding with them. This machine's capabilities are way too powerful to be trusted. It's sort of like a kid messing with his father's guns, but on the grandest scale.

  • exactly what i was thinking. there is a chance that something could happen and it could be catostrophic.and if that could be the end then why do it? does understanding creation have to go this far? but i also belive that some people just dont want it to be tested because it could ruin their whole god theory not to say it isnt true

  • This has nothing to do with God and the results of this expiriment will tell them nothing about the creation of the world. It's not going to end the world but it will cause quite a bang, however it's nothing that anyone today needs to worry about.

  • oh sorry...

  • ... its like 1 in 50million chance that it would destroy the earth

  • I have absolutely no respect for a person (presumably a scientifically minded person who should be working off of empirical evidence - although it has yet to occur!) who is actually going to mark as spam a perfectly valid comment such as this. I do not agree with it but at this point any theory is as good as the next as the OBSERVED evidence has yet to surface. So we'll see! Spamming people like this stinks of the religious zeal nauseating every orifice of youtube's cyber corners... :-)

  • LCH are Brainwashing Everyone and they manipulated the goverment with this stupid experiment recreating out "big Bang" theory all CERN really is, is a religious cult and Large Hadron Collider is... the machine of doomsday. trust me on this...LCH HAS TO BE DESTROYED

  • haha its called LHC you dickhead and youre obviously a retard.

  • Two deep earthquakes in Japan 7+ mag, aftershocks 5+ mag, Tsunami warning.

    Earthquake in Indoneasia 7+ mag.

Must be coincidense as techtonic plates are different, though all these quakes within 18 minutes.

Few ours before quake felt in Dubai, again different plate.

We should not worry, as yesterday run was 1 way without collisions andnot full power.

  • man i lov my life alot and well i shouldnt be but i am scared of death though if this is the end of the world considering how th world is today majurity of people mst want the world to end! but maybe it is the start of a new era do they have to do the whole xperiment thing before my b-day:( i wont be 16 till then! i'll miss my sweet 16!

  • wouldnt it be crack up if we were created by this exact same thing billions of years ago. like humans or human type things did this exact test and the universe we are in today took over the old one and humans are how the universe gets recycled lol. and we arent what the bible talks about god just made us as backups incase he fucked something up and whatdouknow he did lol

  • I thing, its have something to do with the stoping of the pole shift.

  • LHC is not the end of the world its just the beginning .........

  • so why are there always major earthquakes after they test the lhc ? (china, indonesia, iran)

  • japan yesterday.

  • put it this way, if everything goes to plan then we will have peaked in science and human discovery, hands will be shaken and we are all a little wiser. if it all goes horribly wrong then we will all die in 3.67 nano seconds. i know it makes me sound like a downer, but isnt it exciting that the human race has the 'potential' power to destroy the universe...

  • how did you come up with 3.67 nano seconds??

  • To the poster of this video:

To be fair, the was no particle collision this morning. So there was no risk of destroying the world. I dont think it will when the collision happens, however, it remains a small possibility. ;)

  • beginning of a new era ftw!

  • if its the end of the world then who cares

  • Yeah im ready for death, *sarcasm*

  • me2

  • ...millions of people?

  • yea...

  • If it's the end of the world, considering the world today, everyone is ready for it..
