This phone is not a smart phone however if you want internet you can pay 9.99 for 25mb. Which is a pretty good deal.

I'm thinking about getting this phone on Tuesday. Two questions: Is texting threaded and can you assign specific text tones? (I'm obviously a big texter.)

Hm... that is just a rumor, just like the iPhone coming to Verizon is a rumor and we have all been waiting for that for what 3 years now? haha. I'll call my rep and ask today though.

Verizon is getting an Apple phone that is to launch in Deccember that will be Comparable to the iPhone, but will not be the same thing. They obviously cannot call it the iPhone since that is exclusively for AT&T.

correction. verizon is getting the IPHONE in january, after their network is exclusively 4g gsm and since the contract with at&t expires in december 2009.

those are rumors. although i dont doubt that the iPhone might come to verion. you never know. like it could continue its contract with at and t or they could get another phone carrirer such as t-mobile or sprint which i doubt.

the at&t contract ends in december. and apple wanted to partner with verizon in 2007. but they couldnt come to an agreement on sales. so they went to at&t because at&t was desparate. now verizons back in, and apples gonna work to get the contract. trust me. verizon stands for 60% of national phone owners. apple is so money hungry, theres no way they will say no to what verizon has to offer.

how is the touch screen working? was it Good? and do you happen to know how many Mahmps the battery is? probobly 950 or 850? and hows web browsing?

not sure about the battery, but the touch screen was very accurate, using the Touch Wiz 2.0 UI so very smart as well. The web browsing is going to support full HTML, so it will be really good!

well the glyde was capacitive but samsung fucked that up and they redid it to makeit resistive. samsungs have good resisitives though
