  • 0:01 it looks like a theme park on fire

  • Actually, there was a dog on board the hindenburg and they say the real person who caused the explosion was the dogs owner, who got a permit from the crew to go back and forth between the passenger areas and the cargo hold, and the dogs owner, being an acrobat, climbed to the area above the gas sacks, and planted a bomb set to explode at the time it was supposed to land.

  • Thank goodness Burgess Meredith didn't die in that dreadful fire, otherwise he never could have played Penguin.

  • i love this movie....i still remember the day i first saw it: august 16, 2010 on cinemax.

  • @LINY65 your welcome you might also try e-bay get it cheaper?

  • @LINY65 Blockbuster has this for sale and universal Pictures.com sells this also by mail i think its around 20.00 for DVD 30.00 Blue Ray I know its out there on DVD i have seen it

  • The Reporter that aweful day said he had nightmares everyday for years his voice is the one saying "All the Humanity" and please please "Get out of the way" his sobbing pleads so surreal and geniune. A horrible disaster in deed

  • Do you know how many youtube users world die to have just one request of the theatrical trailer from this film and now you've got three, anybody who owns the laserdisc release UPLOAD THE TRAILER NOW!! i want to see this video and the first part in color.

  • I saw this in the theater when it came out and remember the sequence after this one, which showed photos of the major characters and what happened to them "dead, dead, survived, dead, etc." When the dog's photo appeared last and the announcer said "survived", the crowd erupted in applause.

  • ^_^

  • if you can remembere correctly was the whole ending in color intercutting with the newsreel footage? PS if there are any Youtube users that have the laser disk release of the film with the theatrical trailer please upload it and make a video of this ending in color with footage from the trailer and colorized versions of the newsreel footage, sorta like that enchaced version of the original ending from Little Shop of Horrors.

  • No. The whole ending was in black and white, to interact with the footage.

  • During the final seconds before the credits, you could also see workmen loading pieces of the wreckage into trucks to be carted off. It was a truly haunting scene that signaled the end of airship travel and looked forward to the coming war with Germany.

  • LOL! It's also kind of sad, because the real-life dog on the Hindenburg, called Ulla, died in the fire.

  • @Pearsey And that was one of many inaccuracies of that stupid movie. No animals traveling on that airship survived the disaster.

  • @Pearsey hahaha, yes, man. I saw this movie in Mexico City, back in 1976, and people react as the same way as you have mentioned.
