ok...i haven't seen this series yet but the sound track i already annoying...they keep using the same sound effects (men yelling) even when there are still photos. Has anyone seen this series in it's entirety? Is it worth the $150?
I'm not sure why this comment was voted down. I agree - the repetitive soundtrack of the same men shouting in the background is annoying, even in this brief clip.
Norway...the Quislings...you are fortunate that the Americans did not lose...otherwise, you would not be able to post what you said. How many Norwegians died for for a free Europe? Your selfish life is more important to you than standing up for freedom.
I think it is accurate to say that both the Russians and the Americans needed each other to win the war. The Germans would probably still control most of Europe if one or the other had decided to make a separate peace.
Yeah, but the soviets went through a hell of a lot worse than the americans. After all, the Battle of Kursk was fought on soviet soil, and right next to the 88's, the german tanks were the biggest threat by land.
The russian fighter was indeed a brave soul who wanted nothing more than to defeat german forces. But we must remember that Stalin pleaded with the U.S and Britian to open a 2nd front to and spread the germans.Without the U.S Lend Lease in ww2 (no matter how brave her fighters were)Russia would have lost. She had to(due to Stalin's purge)build her command structure and move her heavy industries to the Ural's to continue to fight. But your Post is somewhat accurate.
if it wasn't for the USA the russians would LOST..
So thank you americans !

this war made the wars in afghanistan and iraq look like minor actions. the u.s. alone had 18 million men and women in uniform.

No argument there. It must have felt like hell on earth for them all on the Eastern Front.
