  • Tommy Hearns is no "Tom, Dick or Harry". He's one of the BEST to ever fight. I'm sick of seeing these guys get robbed. It was his brains on the line, and his fists that made the people roar. This is disgusting. The younger guys who REALLY got paid should- out of RESPECT- help this man out.

  • awwwwwwwwww this is your brain on drugs!

  • This is so,so sad.I was'nt much of a Hearns fan.But this is terrible!!

  • Floyd Mayweather is from Michigan as is hHearns....why cant a boxer with 200 million in the bank toss 4 million to bail a boxer that paved the way for your little ass...

  • @7thvenom I see your point, and it is very honorable. But if Mayweather bails

Hearns out, when will it stop.Every tom, dick, and harry will be asking him for money.

  • i thought the video was called former boxign champ dead. lolz

  • @AngryScotProductions haha yea me to

  • A word of advice for EVERYONE:

If you have money in the bank, or stocks, transfer it all into actual PHYSICAL holdings, especially gold, or silver.

Fail to take this advice, and you will see all your deposits and stocks become WORTHLESS by this time next year!

    YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

  • How the hell did this happen to Hearns. I remember years back reading an interview where he said he shops around for a better price on toothpaste!

  • Vote for Ron Paul he wants to Disband the IRS. There's no need for them.

  • @rockinrowdyjimmyd And that is probably why Ron Paul will never be President

if he gets too close to the White House,he may "accidentaly" end up dead.

  • Poor guy. Tommy Hearns is the man.

  • Sad for such a nice guy

  • The IRS is a criminal organization...

  • I feel really sorry for him but I do not understand, how could he overspend on things that were not mandatory for a good life? He made lots of money, living a normal life he would have been much better these days!

  • A fool and his money are soon departed

  • Comment removed

  • End the Fed

  • Hearns class act trying to pay his debt off. Got to give him credit for that.

  • the epitome of the term "NIGGER RICH"

  • i'm looking after my family...thats why i need fifty quad bikes for myself.

  • This has to be among the saddest of all things. One of the all-time greatest fighters, a tremendous cultural icon, a one-man business bringing millions to the USA and surely he could have been 'set for life' and still successful in promos, speaking, television. And he is flat broke bankrupt? WTF? Him? Sleazy managers? IRS? No matter what it's just plain sad.

  • @TheRightOffensive Micheal jackson talked about this. He says alot of black entertainers get token advantage

  • @jesussavior1364 Well, I know about a whole lot of boxers who were taken advantage of and let's just say a certain Don King might be responsible for that. But either way its sad.. and I always thought of Hearns as a smart guy too. Well.. then again a LOT of smart guys with money lost everything in 2008.

  • @TheRightOffensive Also those top jewish lawyers that herns hired probly stole millions. Lawyers will steal your money and invest it in things you didnt know about.

  • Family before lifestyle? C'mon you idiot.

  • Joe Louis all over again, this should never happen to a legend, Tommy was a great champ, it's good that he's thinking about his family.

  • After what the government/IRS did to Joe Louis, how badly they screwed him, (making him pay taxes on money he donated during WW2 to soldiers relief funds) Joe took enough of a beating from the IRS that all boxers should be exempt from back taxes. Just to make up for what the IRS did to Joe.

  • he should have been more mindfull of the millions he had.

a wise man can make thousands last 10 life times.

  • @shoulderollHD The problem is that people from a poor background find it hard to rationalize that amount of money, happened to many people who have suddenly come into huge wealth. It's very sad and I hope I don't do the same should I ever happen to come into money.

  • @shoulderollHD VERY WELL said.

  • IRS SCUM THIEVES

  • @mroy88 ..you r right...THATS the criminal organization that should be looked at.....it aint the mob or these gangs doin all the damage, its the IRS...

  • END THE FED VOTE RON PAUL you will never see a pricipled leader like RP better put him in office 2012 or else, by by everything, gas prices, savings, homes, et al

  • @tommyg524 RP will never never get elected & if by chance he did, congress would brew up some lie to impeach him. Anyway, through their voting habits, the majority of American's have proven that do not WANT an intelligent, honest & compassionate leader. I honestly believe that although they SAY otherwise, most American's actually ENJOY corruption, high taxes & erosion of rights/civil liberties. Why else would they only COMPLAIN about it, but then consistently elect the same type of people?

  • Keep voting for Obama and empowering the IRS.

  • omg! no no no! oh wait! he"s a black yank! cool im pleased lol

  • @hawit8390 Your life must be amazing.

  • @southstaronline yep its fantastic right now thanks son!

  • Liked expensive trinklets....and got himself into debt. Not the first....and won`t be the last to do so.

  • Another black great stung by the IRS

  • No sympathy at all.

  • uneducated people who become famous....look at Tyson, he's a complete idiot and took a fight to humiliate himself to pay his bills then tries to get sympathy from everyone saying that his love for the sport is gone.....look what happens when you have no education..you have all that time to educate yourself and they dont. Wow, thinkin you'll never have to worry about money again.....typical!!!!!!!

  • @antonio81108 shut up ya dick

  • @MrIrishrover2011 whats wrong, you uneducated too?????

  • Every dollar that you have in your pocket or account is debt-based money with an interest payment attached to it. The debt is serviced by collecting taxes from the subjects that are beholden to it. Yes we've all been enslaved by the banking masters.

  • @planetcave You go that right, you seen Secret of Oz no doubt!!

  • @planetcave You put money in a bank I assume. I do too.

    But billions do no not.

I worked in America and the money I made was mostly for me.

Working in Europe germany.....I paid for people that never want work.

In Europe its a free ride. In america so many homeless..in Germany NO.

In Socialist Germany taxes protect the idiodts

    In America the stupid die.

    Honestly to everyone else

    America is not bad.

  • Sad. Tommy was always classy. After his opponent James Shuler (Whom Hearns defeated) was killed in a motorcycle accident, Hearns presented the NABF Championship belt to Shuler's family at his funeral, saying he deserved to keep the belt as he had held it longer than Hearns.

Is that not incredible? What a very decent and wonderful person.

  • @SCROGY yeah he's certainly is a great man, he may be scary in the ring but out of the ring he's a family man and a great father to his son who's now a professional boxer Ronald Hearns.

  • I hear hes been bled dry by his extended family, so he said

  • The U.S.A is the free world that means NO taxes. . .Somebody has hijacked the constitution and is doing some Skulduggery. . . Do your Homework!

  • @SonnyLondon1 If there were no taxes where would the government get money for its budget?

  • @curtisjones400 Obama would bail out another Bank and triple our national debt again. So what's your point?

  • @curtisjones400 Do your democrats, like the Liberals in Canada, demand higher taxes and then waste much of it on frivolous things? Or piss it away on other nations problems?

  • @SCROGY Taxes are a necessary part of how our government functions-it has nothing to do with liberals or democrats-it is the american way and it has worked just fine-get a life

  • @curtisjones400 worked just fine...dude come on ...really

  • I am certainly not a fan of the IRS, but how does the IRS is responsible for his inability to managed his finance? The IRS laws actually favor the wealthy in this country. All the milliners and billionaires actually pay less tax that the working poor. I agree with Magic Johnson who is one of the few former professional athletes who has successfully managed his finance after retirement. Most of these athletes can box/play ball, but are totally ignorant of financial. management..

  • @ederrick987 - "I am certainly not a fan of the IRS, but how does the IRS is responsible for his inability to managed his finance?"

I do not know the specifics of Hearns case but many of these old school boxers got into debt:

    1. Scamming managers and accountants

    2. Poor and badly educated backgrounds

    3. Too many hanger ons / so called friends

    4. Family members who felt entitled to some of the spoils

Its no excuse just an explanation on why it was so common.

  • maybe his taxes are too high. i do not know American tax rates or laws but in Australia it is a max of 45% plus Medicare Levy at 1.5-2.5% of gross income above 180k. I did not agree with these rates. So i set up a family trust and a company account. Problem solved! I am not gifted with boxing skills but with logical thoughts which holds me in good stead. He still seemed to be able to afford nice boys toys rather than pay taxes. His choice. Learn from others mistakes.

  • @1975chrismc - US taxes are among the lowest in the industrialized world.

  • @chiron8839 Wow...that's some b.b.bullshit

  • @terga1 - No it's not. Do some homework. I'm a 60 year-old historian and university teacher; you're a kid who stutters.

  • God Bless You Hitman.

  • Thats's why you all have to vote for a fair tax.....lets get rid of the IRS there nothin but blood suckers for the goverment and we need a new President a real leader not this lyin poulition we need jobs.............God bless Tommy your in my prays...................

  • When he retired, Tommy should have performed a simple arithmetic, as follows : $8 million divided by 40 years = $ 200k spending money p.a. Enough to live well, if you already own a house(s), but certainly not enough to buy a new Bentley every year, let alone all the other bling !

  • @JSavic how this happen explain to me, how a guy who maid millions is broke? I'm from other country I do not understand the IRS!!

  • @ps3alexpr It´not the IRS, it´s the man spending the money

  • he is responsible for his demise. if he paid his taxes he wouldn't have a problem.

  • @1975chrismc Maybe his taxes are too high, not thought of that?

  • IRS is the fuckin DEVIL !!! .. They dont give a fuck if you die over taxes ..

  • YOU HAVE YOUR FANS TOO TOMMY & WE LOVE YOU ! WE CAN ALL HELP OUT IF YOU NEED US. THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAT MATCHES THROUGH THE YEARS. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. YOU WILL ALWAYS BE 1 OF THE GREATEST BOXERS EVER 6 TIME CAHMPION!

  • Sad that such a great fighter (& risk taker) should end up like this. I just read "Four Kings" & the author there claimed that Tommy is buying a new Bentley every year. Obviously not !

  • @JSavic Happens much too often!!

  • @xxbingo ye true but how?

  • Taxes... really... someone's life shouldn't be destroyed for fucking taxes.

  • I still remember Hearns vs Sugar Ray Leonard at Ceasars palace in february of 1990. They both threw matching hooks, except Leonard got dazed and Hearns made this "giggle" move with a smile and started tagging Leonard.

Great fight, still remember it very clearly.

  • See thats why this bitch broke as fuck. He couldn't walk away from a purchase. Bitch what you need with all of them ATV's.

  • Damn , not the ' 57 Chevy !!

  • @BillyKnockout Ouch!!!! Thats gonna make someone real happy.....Auctioning in Detroit, thats even worst!! Cause they are as broke as us..

  • @Triton88keys lol ! No doubt

  • ANOTHER SAD BOXING STORY SO MANY GREAT FIGHTER END UP BROKE ;-(

  • So Sad - Fuck the government!!

  • This is terrible. We need to take care of our boxers better, too many end up broke, they need to be educated how to manage money better. Their should be some type of union.

  • @Octane64 you fucking kidding me man? it isnt my fucking fault they blows their MILLIONS(yes millions) of dollars on bulsshit... and you want me, a 10 dollar an hour construction worker to help their ass out??? gtfo bitch... poor guy, he wont have his classic chevy or his harleys anymore...aww lets help that poor soul out... idiot, help your mom and dad bitch, they need it more

  • @suppaman12 I blame Hagler, he gave Tommy too much of an ass whooping in 85. Damaged his brain! As you said, he"s had it & blown it, to bad the idiot!

  • Comment removed

  • @Octane64 Boxers should invest their money in some type of business so that when they are unable to box they can earn a living-a good example of this is the ex-heavyweight champion Larry Holmes-he brought a construction company in Eaton Pennsylvania while he was still a boxer

  • @curtisjones400 I agree, in my country Carl froch has bought quite a few houses with his money, so he can rent them out! Its what i"d would do, property doesn"t go down, only up... i love Hearns, but come on its his own fault. I"m poor but spend within my means, i"ve never been in debt following that rule!

  • @curtisjones400 boxers do invest in business but because most fighter do not have business experience they lose money............

  • we are all slaves to the government

  • Good luck man. Glad to see you have your priorities straight, even though you made some mistakes.

  • Hearns said, and I quote..."I aint the fighter I used to was" LOL!!! that was too funny!!!

  • My fav fighter if i was rich I would def donate him some money he spent all his money paying debts for his family and he gave alot of money to his friends also

  • thumbs up if u came here because you thought it said hes dead in the thumbnail but then wen u pressed said dead broke got me confused and scared

  • The IRS is despicable.

  • just so sad to see. i wont dare to say much. just sad to see all this and a legendary champ. fooking money and this cruel greedy world

  • time we came up with a fight sport where head shots are banned.

  • Like it or not, we must pay Caesar his money

  • @NB1929 But to take something he sweated and bled for, that like living as a slave.

  • @blackbolt75 Yes it is sad to see all Tommy's great stuff being auctioned off, you can't fight Caesar, Hearns was a credit to boxing, I can't recall ever getting into trouble, & if he did I'm sure it was petty.

  • The IRS sucks.

  • my friend, i was strictly speaking in general terms, i said pro boxers-not thomas hearns, it was not a direct attack on him, i was speaking in general. and by the way, i happened to be one of his biggest fans in the 80s, i still believe he was cheated in his 2nd fight against ray leonard.

  • It wouldn't hurt to have a competent accountant watch your money if you're not savy enough to do it yourself. This happens to many fighters because they're not educationally smart. They only have fighting skills. That's why promoters like D. King take financial advantage of fighters. He knows they're not business savy that's why he robs them clean of have their fortune.

  • why do pro athletes, especially boxers, are under the illusion, that they are exempt from paying taxes like everybody else? boxers of today, must discontinue & abandon the "ghetto-mentality" of spend, spend, spend, and start adopting the mentality of "saving & investing" for the future. the only former fighthers who have followed this path are ray leonard & oscar de la hoya.

  • @sasquatch13ja simple my friend ! those two had some brain matter left after entertaining you for years, have some heart, this guy was not the smartest person of the bunch and i'm sure was taken for a few dollars by others in the fight game but that's no reason to diss the man.

  • so sad. fucking irs. this man is a legend

  • @li:The stuff Thomas bought for others isn't available for the IRS to auction. Considering his earnings, this isn't all that much "stuff". I don't know about Hearns specifically, but in many such cases, the big-spending is largely on friends & family. Money management is a legal right & responsibility of the spouse, too. It's just as fair to assume that the whole family was enjoying immediate gratification over solid investments.

  • wow he had a lot of shit, maybe he should of sold it on his own to pay taxes

  • LOL Classic niggers LOL not managing there money lol hey fags out there dont blame this on the government blame this on the fact that niggers cant manage there money

  • @themanwith6

You know, dumbass, claims to racial superiority come off so much better when you actually know your own fucking language beyond the third grade level.

  • @themanwith6 You're probably some racist pussy ass nerd that has no girlfriend friends or goals and wastes his days away leaving pointless racial remarks about people who have done more in 10 years then you will in your entire life on youtube kill yourself make the world a better place have a shitty day =D

  • the real crime of this is there is not one law that states you have to pay taxes on wages. not ONE. it does not exist period. they are COMPLETELY voluntary and the Supreme Court has upheld that multiple times. the legal definition of "income" as stated in the 16th Ammendment (which people incorrectly cite as the law that's supposed to prove this wrong) is defined as CORPORATE profits & gains & nothing but.

  • Wow! See how punch drunk Tommy has become from so many punches to the head? Anyway, this is the kind of shit that happens when you don't have a good accountant. This should have never happened!

  • this is crazy ..didn't he made millions?....where did his money go

  • @4starKT

Yes, he made millions, but he's an athlete with no education.

  • @Pizuzuzimmer And hes black

  • @themanwith6

    So what's Lenny Dykstra's excuse?

  • @bradbodies how am I a stupid bitch? At least I know how to spend money properly and not have to worry about bankruptcy even though I'm not a millionaire like Tommy hearns was? Fucking idiot

  • do u hearns

  • If they would have promoted this sale nationally I bet it would have brought in more. Many people like me love Tommy Hearns for his courage and skill and would like to help. Tommy still has his family and his name. It is worth a lot just to be "Thomas 'HITMAN' HHEEEAAAARRRNNS" Damn! I get goosebumps just remembering it now. Tommy had the sharpest "brick-in-the-fist" punch outside of Leon's "Spinks Jinx" and when it gotcha, you were gone. Thanks for everything Tommy, we love you.

  • This is always a shame. Tommy is sure not the 1st one. So many great fighters are not great businessmen, and are taken advantage of by shysters and hangers on, who always have a deal. First thing you know, money's gone, taxes not paid. If they were able to equalize the taxes over the starvation years when they were working their guts out trying to make it, it would be a lot more fair, but no credit for that. Tommy Hearns is always going to be a star in boxing's best period, can't tax that.

  • how the fuck r u a pro boxer who was once a millionaire and now u cant afford shit! smh ppl needa learn how to budget more properly

  • @numberoneDOUCHEBAG u a stupid bitch

  • 0:17

    Heartbreaking!

  • Hearns and Jackson hardest punchers ever, hope he gets his shit sorted, You the man Tommy !!!

  • More proof of what boxing does to your health. Did anyone notice the slurred speech? Like Fernando Valenzuela once said, "be esmart, estay in eschool. "

  • @SamanthaNathan Yeah, but lets be honest, Tommy didn't talk too great back in the day. He sounds bad, but I think he's still sharp.

  • This man is a Boxing legend!!!!!!! Show some respect! He needs our love!

  • @Todd4871

yea this was sad. He was always one of my boxing heroes. How could he not have managed his money better?

  • @Todd4871 real talk

  • i see the same happening to floyd when he retires

  • Obviously , this is what happens when you don't pay taxes . Uncle Sam catches up to you one way or the other .

  • "You ain't got no job, Tommy" -Martin Payne

  • When are boxers gonna learn you have to set money aside to pay your taxes

  • u fuckin up tommy

  • dune buggies are the downfall of the black man in america, i hope one day he will get over his dune buggy addiction

  • you can K.O. everybody but he government will always beat you to a pulp

  • Comment removed

  • He gets his brains bashed in for years only to retire and have the FUCKING FED come in and wipe him out...What the hell is wrong with this picture???!!! Taxes on a federal level beyond 10% is fucking CRIMINAL!!! And our founding fathers fought against this type of tyranny!!! And here we are getting ASS RAPED by our government!!!

  • @rand70 Yes, our founding fathers warned us of the Jews. Now look whos behind this mess were currently in. Coincidence?

  • @damon691104 What did the founding fathers say?

  • Comment removed

  • title says he's "dead" but it's about money. It's sad regardless. He may have brain damage from his years in the ring, to then go into older age financially broke.

  • Wow this is sad + cant help notice a slur in his speech too! he sounds just like Muhammad Ali did in 1980-81! hope this isnt the sign of a whole bigger problem about to set in on Tommy (Parkinsons) Sad he was such a great boxer, pity he didnt manage his money better. Best of luck in the future tommy. Boxers should have have mandatory Pensions where a percentage of all money they earn from fights be put into it that they cant access untill they are 60 or otherwise completely broke, just an idea...

  • @steobriancorcoran stupid insulting idea..try again

  • @TEMUJINARTS Stupid insulting idea... Try again?? Well I don't think all boxers having a pension plan is a stupid insulting idea! Most famous boxers would be happy to do this and some trainers have already said there should pension plans in place. How many boxers end up broke?? I would say its a good solid investment idea rather than bad business deals or property deals which many boxers have fell foul to....Whats your Idea??????????

  • @steobriancorcoran how about another idea they learn to manage there fucking money so many other people do it he can do it to

  • @themanwith6

and u can learn to be quiet. obviously u will never be known for anything other than hate and having been bhut rapped more than anyone else on the eastern seaboard.

  • @steobriancorcoran Tommy has always talked sorta like that. It's a sinus problem.

  • @Quidtucenam Well I don't think a sinus problem will make you mispronounce words or slur them, all I am saying is look at him speak as early as 10 years ago. He sounds just like Muhammad ali did in 80-81 when he was getting the early signs of parkinsons! Ali made excuses too & said he wasn't damaged! Sad but time will tell!

  • @steobriancorcoran It's called being punch drunk. It's a sign of physical damage to the brain from way too many punches to the head and body. Many fighters suffer from this. It aint no joke brother!

  • @steobriancorcoran

He's had that slur for yrs. The price of being a boxer who fought to long.

  • @steobriancorcoran ...Well said, Tommy is one of my favorite fighters..Way too many cars, bikes and toys. Lesson learned for everyone, live within your means, and save cash for the rainy days. " It's not what you make it''s what you keep, and you must pay your taxes. " Very sad story for the Hitman...

  • damn... this is straight cold man

  • damnnnn

  • phew thought he was dead....

  • @ovywan08 haha best comme
