actually if u want to get technical hoffman did sort of kill jeff...he had somehow knew jeff was crazy...in the 4th mmovie i remember him saying..."heath my warning agent perez your partner agent strahum will soon take the life of an innocent man." so he had sort of knew jeff was crazy and would go all psycho on strahum when he entered the room...it was all set up because *saw 5 quote* "they were all suppose to die..."

when i think "alternate." i think of a completley diffrent ending...this ending is extended...just a little longer no big change or anything... like for some movies when u get the dvd it will have like two endings..the original and an "alternitive.." which is basically a diffrent ending...like for an alternative ending they could've did something like hoffman comes from the door in the back of the room *saw 5 spoiler* and kills jeff..this just adds a couple extra scenes to make it longer..

To be honest you can't pin all the blame on Cecil. Yes, he played a large part in making Jigsaw what he became but, harsh as this sounds, he needed to learn to live with his grief and contuinue with his life. Perhaps he could have had another child even. Instead, he let his own desire for revenge get ahead of him, which ultimatly got himself and many other people killed.
