he NEVER dissappoints you does he?????( i am talking of Beethoven of course)one of the most sublime pieces EVER written.....time and again he IS and WILL ALWAYS be the
monumental force in which ALL OTHERS are measured.....i allways bring myself too tears when i play this.....
Really a masterpiece of a gifted man who should be an inspiration to us all: hardworking, modest but most of all persiverent to the last. "When gods speak, mankind silently listen."
@cyberprutser Modest he wasnt...well..maybe..he very well knew who he was so I guess he had a very well placed ego haha but I should look more into it...
i have no idea why. i love beethoven and all, but i fall asleep every time i try to listen to his piano concertos xD i'm fine with his symphonies and sonata, though
Anyone who appreciates such beautiful civilized music is not capable of calling others such ugly names or clicking the like button for such a disgraceful remark.
Best version i have heard is from the immortal beloved soundtrack. When its slower liek this i feel it loses a lil bit of its momentum? Maybe...flow? Idk. bores me a little bit =( I know im not Beethoven himself, but for some reason i think hed complain of it being too slow lol Just seems to me it loses its rhythym and beauty this slow. Almost like someone is sight reading >< Even tho i enojoyed the orchestra itself? I'm gonna have to be the first dislike =(
@gumslinger Considering Adagio means slow, I very much think you're wrong. This piece does lose its rhythm, but it that offbeat makes beethoven beethoven, for back then everything was punctual and clear- he changed it all.
Of all the versions I own and have listened to, this rendition by Sylvia Capova is my favorite. I believe, Ms. Capova has maintained the ideal tempo while others including Rudolf Serkin rush through, thus ruining the beauty of each note.
Many thanks for the notes. By any chance, do you know if this concert was captured on tape and if there's a DVD for it?
I can't stop listening to this. I feel like it's the most beautiful piece of classical music I've ever heard.

Wonderful.... Wonderful.
The Player is God.
Beethoven makes me wonder, Just why did I not take Music lessons while younger? I'm 15 now, and it seems... too late...
Maybe because I did take art lessons then?
AhmedOnMoment 7 months ago
@AhmedOnMoment NO, it's not too late! If you start learning the piano now and take it seriously, you'll be able to play this in a few years.
