Well guys this is the "Basil Factor". His Music is beyond epicness! This music in a game like Skyrim makes the game X00% better even though the game is one of the best out there on this planet currently.
Basil makes music like the old composer which he also studied during his time in amerika on the university of southern california like Mozart or Haydn. This is the very reason why his music is PURE Symphony apart of being made classical style as a symphony ;).
The new Conan was absolute trash. Especially at the end when he STRUGGLED to pick up some 105 lb broad with one arm but then continued struggling using BOTH arms! What a disgrace of a depiction.
I saw the new Conan movie, and even though it was entertaining , it just failed to provide the same epic feeling . Apart from the music, the new Conan its just to much of a hero and a pretty boy. The original Conan was not the story of a hero out to avenge his family it was the story of a man becoming a hero. The original Conan was a mere man with good sides and bad sides and thats what makes him more great.

It's impossible to overrstate how much Basil's score added to the awesomeness of Conan the Barbarian. Now he's gone, RIP, and he's playing the music you will hear when you arrive in Valhalla.
I remember going to see the original when I was 4 years old. My brother in law was really into the Marvel comic and Savage Sword and he used to let me look at them. He and my sister took me to see it. It wasnt until I was 17 or 18 that I found in a used book store all of the Ace editions from the 60's of the original Howard stories, and even later till I came across the unedited versions. So I have loved this character all my life, and I hate this fucking new movie.
I would hardly call this Conan movie new... But if you mean you hate the 80's one staring Arnold, then fine. If you meant the new monstrosity, using the word that would have been more appropriate then the word this, seeing as this soundtrack is to one of the good ones and all.

@jedispy Cuz the story wasn't as good as the original one. But character wise, I prefer Momoa. He looks like a barbarian. Arnold looked like a bodybuilder. And I didn't know vikings had such smooth shaves. I guess it ultimately depends on what you look for in this type of movie.

@jedispy It's not a remake, it'a a reboot. They already tried to make a sequel. Kull The COnqueror (1997) was actually Conan The Conqueror. Even the script is from COnan graphic novels. But Arnold didn't wanna play Conan again and Kevin Sorbo didn't wanna portray a character that had already been played by someone else. So they changed Conan's name to KULL.
@LegolasManowarMJ Good points. I believe Kull was the spiritual prequel to Conan (both were works written by the same author in the early 20th century I believe.)
Kull was so bad I turned it off after 20 minutes. It was like watching a blind crippled retarded child try to place ice hockey. I just couldn't handle witnessing the failure.

My God these scores give me the goose pimples. Its like you just dont hear the music rather you feel the music mentally and physically.!! If the movie didnt wrap you up with strong emotions then the scores most certainly did...What a masterful time piece...... BRAVO

Gone are the days of high adventure,movies of today just dont stack up to the screenplay of yesterday.Movies such as the Conan series, Krull ,Willow and Gladiator are masterful time pieces that will never ever be duplicated only cheaply imitated. Such a shame..!! My hats off to the past clasics,they will forever be remembered.

conan the barbarian was my favourite movie when i was young. one day, my sister taped over this most hallowed of recordings. i cried and hated her for days (think i was about 7.) i dont think ive ever been so affected by something....
watching it these days though i still can't beleive how good it is!

arnold need to cameback as Conan, imagine a older Conan king with a beard and still in great shape..i know Arnold can workout for a year and be in great shape. he did it for Terminator 3..it be a fucking great comeback for him..it need to be a great story though and with same director of the 1th conan.. It's like the music is telling a story, telling me to feel things, the urge for the battle, be brave, be awesome! It's just F'ing EPIC EPICNESS!!!! Marvelous score. And 18 people can't hear very well, or are heartless fot not feeling anything while listenig to this... it's sad that really exists people on the world who doesn't like music that have a soul of it's own like these.
