That beautiful chord at about 0:43 and 1:38 seems impossible to get on this particular open tuning (the chord is minor, the open tuning is major), yet there it is, effortlessly. Any idea, anyone, what's the trick?

@EyalHoltzman He's going to the relative minor sliding the melody into f# which 5th of Bminor. I guess B minor and f# line up on a dobro nicely

@EyalHoltzman he hits an open D on the st string, an F# on the 2nd and a low B on the 6th plus something else but there you have your basic Bm triad ;)

Tuning is DADF#AD. Just like open E tuning but a whole step down. I think that's correct.

@bellyjellymusic I don't think that's the point he's making. The point is to demonstrate the range of tone, sustain and durability that these strings have, and there's nothing wrong with having one of the world's best Dobro players demonstrate that.
