  • This is Excellent video indeed...

commercial Solar Panels are too Expensive !!!!

and it will take you 10 Years - to pay back on solar Panels..

Their is a way, an Engineer from Chicago who explains it All..

    Search in Google for

    "ToP DiY Solar Panels"

click the first Result (Skip The Advertisement)

  • 1.5 watts...thats already a lot! CONGRATS! =)

  • Yes but this is not conclusive enough I have found this site shows you everything you need.

Blueprints , and instructions and step by step guide how to do it.

It’s a child’s play, it worked for me

  • Of you use a dark colored mount you should collect more light. White reflects light. You want to absorb it

  • so how do i make them?

    Cool idea...

  • i got my 1000 calculatros and took the solar panels of them and made my own solar panel :)

  • I live in the mojave desert where it gets 120 degrees. I think it might be too hot for these things lol

  • nice video..

  • @tucko7500 Every single one of those things is a fake. I always read them, and nothing has ever happened to me :P. So, please stop falling for these.

  • Great video, My step dad bought a kit and had also made solar panels which we still use today.

I hear that... but you forgot to mention how crude and barely understandable.

  • 10.000 dolar in solar cells

  • Dude, you need to to take handcraft lessons, that solar panel looks messy.

  • oh thank god i thought he was asian

  • take those panels and put them in the basement.first you take a parabolic solar concentrator and put an robotic arm on it to follow the suns path.then make the focal point a mirrored shape cone that will send the light down through mirrored glass tubing straight into a mirrored shape glass box inside the mirrored shape box will be several solar panels that spin to keep them cool the mirrored box must have the mirrors inward to reflect the light sending from the parabolic focal point.ken van horn

  • Good one

  • cool video

  • Nice one. I thought you have to be an expert in soldering before you can assemble that solar panel. Now I can start assembling my by solar cells. You have explain it well how it work and the connection as well. Next time, it would better if you can do a video actually doing the soldering :)

    Thumbs up for you!

  • fuck you for having adverts if i wanted commercials id have turned on my TV fucking sell outs

  • these things will end up being scourge of humanity .if you think oil is bad research what they are made of and ask yourself if you really want all that toxic substance around ///think plastic bottles are bad /////wait till they start to pile up not to mention the highly toxic byproduct of production

  • Solar Panels are clean and environmental.

  • @TheDarkone1111 did you find out about the solar panels?

  • I build some solar panels but its not giving enought power. When I checked them under the sun each of them showed 20 volts and 5 amps each. But when I connected them to my grid tie inverter my Kill A Watt Meter showed only 30 watts each. I know Im getting the same output just like everybody else. Is there something wrong with my panels? You are the expert can you tell me what to do to make my solar panels productive? Thank you so much and I like you videos.

  • the problem with some of this power is not all can afford it and the ones who need it cant gain access to it

  • @thebluebunny1 It's not about if we have the money.. it's about if we have the resources. zeitgeist.

  • Condensation isn't cool !!!!

  • Very Educational!

  • Some good info here.

    Stu.

  • There is a mistake in it........a single cell produces ~ 0.5V not 1.5V. I guess the system can produce not more than 20V.

  • @LinkFamilyPA You're mistaken on a couple of things with your comment to @x11115, namely in saying that the person has to have the installation certified. It really depends on where you live, what you're doing with it, and whether it ties into the grid. Keeping your power off grid is much cheaper and requires less legal hassle than building a grid tie system.

  • ich wette er istn deutscher :D

  • The video is very informative I hope to put it to good us

  • The batteries im planning to use are forklift deep cycle lead acid cells (Very Large), in my opinion they will be the best for my use (Residential) for the cost and maintainance required, I have am also experimenting with 4' (4 Foot Diameter) permanent magnet core wind turbines, they are fully custom made, I am very lucky to have my own machine shop and have many future plans that are not commercial based but I am driven with my passion of engineering and renewable energy sources.

  • I have ordered enough cells to build 24 70 watt (approx) panels. I purchased all materials in 2007 for around $1500 US. I am a procrastinator and have only built three of them they produce (real #'s) about 73 watts per panel, I am very obsessed with perfection but it has paid off with the cells having very close power production capabilities. I purchased two 11500 Watt inverters for my home at the same time and paid less than $1000 for them.

  • if anyone wants solar energy for their home in AZ message me

  • why not just give a parts list and the details Vstatv? Why do people have to message you. I know enough about electronics to make it work if someone would just say what parts we need and instructions on hooking it up and how to get the electric company to collaborate.

  • @vstatv I want solar for my home in FL-I guess I'm thinking similiar weather and, for all I know, you're thinking something completely diffrent, but wood preciate any help wattsoever

  • nice vid! thanks for information

  • NICE

  • Yes, I built my own solar panels. Thanks the guide.

  • Could you give me steps of how to do this? I really want to make silcon wafers if possible.

  • make them? look up how to make solar cells...id say ur better off going to ebay and buying 3x6 or 6x6 solar cells and building a panel...IMO

  • I built my own solar panels system at home and I'm happy

  • I'm really interested in this and am starting from scratch. Can you send me the steps of how you did this? Thanks!

  • PM me and I will help you out

  • I've heard this is a complete scam and inorder to use them you need an inverter which cost 1000s of dollars. If it is so easy to do why are people trying to sell $50.00 books on these and not disclosing how this is actually done. 1000s of people would tell you how this is done if it was so easy to do. In allmost every one of these youtube videos there's an affiliate link to buy a 50.00 dollar book and none of them tell you what materials you need or show you how it is done.

  • Yes, cars are a scam too.

No one tells us that we have to keep 'updating' the petrol in the tank ;) .

My 'scam' solar electric system has kept me off the grid for the past 15 years.

    No power bills.

Invertors are much cheaper than you think, so it's worth looking into this.

Youtube is full of videos that show you how to set it up, so you can manage without those $50.00 books :) .

  • Ok 15yrs you say. pretty strange since they just came out with this a few yrs ago no? Ok well i'll look into it more. A better man would provide the simple information rather than make people buy an affiliate book which may or may not provide enough information. I also read that power companies will not buy your electric if you build your own because it's not industry rated so you will run into conflicts with the power companies. In order to beat the oil companies we have 2 work together.

  • @x11115 I think you're a big mistaken. You can build your own solar panels, and your own system but it needs to fall within the guidelines of your electrical code for your area. And then, you'll need to have an electrician to certify the installation. He will give you a certification number. Then you can apply for the incentives your local county states or government offers.

  • i though you only need the inverter to connect the solar system to your electricity supply box ,, i don't thing you need an inverter to use the system to power up say 10bulbs, you will need an control box but not the inverter

  • yeaaaaaaaah i thing you may be right in one sence man , i just though of something, you will need an inverter to use the energy harvested with the solar panel on any machines that are not 12v compatible, such as heaters ,microwaves, electric cookers...etc also to tie the system back to national grid ,note you get paid from energy suppliers when your ammeter start to turn anticlockwise meaning you selling energy, but the tax man will hang you,

  • @x11115 You are right about people trying to capitalize on the info that only a year or two ago was free but if you would like to know some more about the DIY wind and solar I saved everything I found and could maybe email if the files aren't too big. I built my own solar panels from cells bought off eBay and purchased most of my turbine parts from two reputable dealers on the internet. and all are very functional. I also made mine with aluminum frames and tempered glass with encapsulent.

  • @ilovejesus4evr - I don't know if you've been bombarded with requests or not, but I'd be very interested in those files to share with my library patrons if that would be okay with you. We have many lower income people in the area that are very interested in this technology but can't afford the big price tags of ready-made systems. Thanks!

  • how big of a system?

  • @SolarPanelsmake your jocking ? are you they take your videos why playboy or wat

  • Very Nice,The Mr in the video has made it clear and simple.

  • nice video!!!!!

  • nice video ,

for solar cells, and soldering instructions for solar cells, solarcells101 c om

    hope this helps!!!

  • Here in the States, the meter spins backwards. At one time, people used to 'steal' electricity by turning ther meter upside down for one week of the month.

But, the compnay charges for use. regardless of the direction, you pay for watts. if you put it back on the grid, you will get paid for the energy, less the fee to be connected.

Regardless, it would be very expensive to have enough power to use it all and sell any back.

  • Actually in order to turn the meter back this is a common misconception. During the middle of the night noone is awake and hardly anything is powered in the house. Turning off everything in your breaker, leaving the refrigerator and a couple of lights or a box fan, the meter will turn back. During the winter the daylight hours are only 12 hours per day. Meaning, everything else is pure money. During the summer, simply turn everything off and leave only your fridge and your ac on. It works.

  • To taraff1 - yeah sure you did..when just one 50 watt panel cost more than that not the mention the controller and the batteries and inverter..just admit you get a commission.

  • what world do you live in , 100 dollars is just a starter to do a 1700 sq ft house lol

  • Comment removed

  • i'm very curious what will happen if you produce enough electricity to your home that the electricity meter goes backwards. will the electric company pay you???

  • yes it is possible to sell the power you make back to the grid...but power companies are very picky at the quality of the power that you are selling them.. that is why alot of people dont bother and just let their meters run backwards without telling power companies...power companies are not fans of people who do this though lol

  • thats what my phyics teacher told me

  • It wont go backwards, it will just stop. But you can sell power back to the electric co or your neighbors

  • No y ou cant sell, you be sued by el.company :( coss they have monopoly on selling electrycuty.... so you can give but not sell.

  • you can get an agreement to this end in the UK and in Spain at least. Although your consumption needs to be pretty low and you'll need LOTS of panels. A group of friends are looking at buying a small piece of land to put them on but the cost is huge to set up (hence the group). A friend's uncle did this. If you have money, great, but a loan would barely cover it.

  • If you return anything back to the grid the Electric company is not required to pay you anything .. However they are required to credit your account. SO If you pump $4000.00 worth into the grid over 10 yrs. & a meteor crashes your panels.. They Owe you $4000.00 worth of Electricity.

  • depends on your area, some states require they buy it from you at the rate they sell it at.

  • In Sacramento California, the power company will give you credit for the extra electricity you produce but if you do not use the credit by the end of the year it disappears.

My friend has 16 big solar panels on his home and pays just to stay on the grid but produces more electricity than he uses. Every year he loses his extra credit. They said use it or lose it sucka!

  • So he would have to WASTE POWER to "use the credit"?

He Should charge his battery bank and then back feed after the

first of the year, then get a huge "credit" and then sue their ass!

  • i wonder if its cost effective to take solar powered calculators apart to harvest only the solar panels?then link them together to power things I've already harvested the panels from broken calculators but if i can get em for 99 cents us or 9.99 us is it worth it?

  • if you get a bunch for free then yes,but dont lose hope there are sites that tell you how to make them

  • i knowthey'd put out very few amps but i just figured @ 1.5 to 2 volts a peice was enough to equal aa bateries making it simple to get and use

  • im not sure try it you could definately power some led lights

  • Wo kann mann denn die panels kaufen wenn mann in Südamerika wohnt...? Oder kann man die auch selber machen?

  • He has a cool accent.

  • Ebay or Green Power Science . I bought 100 Multicrystalline cells from Ebay.

    Cool video

  • ebay people

  • I purchased my solar cells from solar-deals(.)com. 5" x 5" solar cells.

  • sir nice video 'but where thiscompanies are ? or where i can get some solar cells .thank you

  • I have now got 4 12v 80w panels and. Steca Solarix 4401 (48v 40Amp) Solar Charge Controller with LDC display.and 4 150 AH12v deep cycle batteries. 1600W/2400W surge pure sine inverter/charger!

48V DC input 240V AC output! ok

  • Just a few things you forgot, a one way diode matched to the output. a charge controller, correct sized wiring, lol . batteries and an inverter

  • See we can make a difference...one person at a time for a new energy future.

  • i have got 2. 80 w 12v panels but have got 48v inverter do i get one more 80w panel ?????

  • In order to get the totaled 48v you will need 4 of the panels that you are describing, not only that but in order to prevent burning up your inverter you will need four 12v batteries deep cycle batteries and a charge controller, you can easily get a morning star charge controller for less than 50dollars, the deep cycle batteries will cost a little bit, or get a lower voltage inverter and half that. if youre really interested send me a message and i will send a more detailed description.

  • email me at lhensleyatsignwebkraft-hsdotnet and I'll send you some instructions and where to get the parts. (Replace at sign and dot with you know what.) And if you live in North Florida come help me!

  • Hello, I have a wind generater and 3- 15w pannels but want to make more pannels could you send some basic instructions to help idiot proof my atempt at conecting the cells and do they have to be ventalated once in the framed glass?

  • he needs to show a how to make a solar panel

  • YOU NEED TO PROTECT YOUR CELLS man

    Your panels are FCKED

    and are leaking BAD NEWS

    EVA THEM

  • thank you so much,this I UNDERSTAND

  • yeah nice Arnold!

  • Hallo,

    wo bekommt man diesesn "Solarzellenbruch"?

  • Comment removed

  • That's pure Genus. I don't think I've seen this being used anywhere. 2X output.

    Thanks

  • he meant 1.5 volt average per cell

  • 30-60 bucks right there, buying a new one would cost hundreds for that size.

  • 230$ to be exact lol, i learned that off another video

  • wair are u geting theas broken solar panels , are they cheap?

  • ebay

  • Also Edmund Scientific...Type up>>> SOLAR CELL GRAB BAG!!!

  • London Bridge :D

  • Well done! Informative and enjoyable. Can we see the rest of your system?

  • Very very nice video =)

  • Wow, That is a super great project you built sir,,,,,Good job..Keep on going with your brilliant work......Thanks..Rick.

  • good video, very informative. excellent!
