Rowing is so fun, but if you do it for a long time rowing with blisters is not so fun...
Sailing can be kinda fun too if you can relax, and steer at the same time.
#1 place to go: Clayter lake. It's one of the cleanest lakes as well; you can pretty much drink the water right out of the lake and it tastes fine, and they have nice campsites, plus one specific camp around there off of Otari has been doing some serious remodeling.
If I'm ever that way, will try to check out Clayter Lake. This was at the National Training Center. There can't be a more peaceful location for athletes to row. It's a great lake - Fawnshawne (sp?)Lake in London ON. I've never sailed... the relaxed part is important for skydiving and rowing as well. Shoulders relaxed with "Power and Grace" No grace in my rowing :( pure power. but now I do not train competitively . I will be rowing purely for fun from now on. No more training to compete.
