  • @catvalentines9503 thx - our gym is in ontario - but you can learn the splits in dance or gym or by yourself - by doing 20-30 mins of stretching every day

  • @SliverRose1 the way you get splits is by increasing your flexibility - which you do by stretching. The stretches work the same - even if you can't go all the way down - just do 20-30 mins a day and try to go a bit further each time. We have 2 other vids on splits that might help too.

  • @dcllcd82997 we have several videos on stretching on our channel including 3 on splits - will be uploading another flexibility one in coming weeks - just stretch 20-30 mins a day to increase flexibility

  • @fitforafeast is it bad to force on ur middle splits? I did it for only 20 seconds and then I got a cramp on my foot :P

  • @lovely504princess it depends if you're all the way down. If you're not, hold it where you can feel the stretch, but it is not too painful. To stretch out the back of your knee, (quads) Stand up and lift your knee up behind you, and press it to your back. This should stretch it, so it is more comfortable doing the splits. I was naturally born able to do the splits so I'm not completely sure of how long to hold the split position. Maybe 20-60 seconds (just a guess) it depends how flexible you are

  • @LuciaLOL1 we have 3 vids on the splits - you can't just force them or do them - you have to build your flexibility by stretching & practicing everyday & you will probably get them in a month

  • @OfficalCrystal You have to stretch for middle splits - do the stretches we show in our 3 vids on splits & travelling russians.

  • @purpiegirl4600 Always be careful - pushing should be gentle and is best when it is someone trained or experienced

  • @Batakeki you get flexible by stretching - do 20 to 30 mins every day - mix up the stretches from our 3 vids on the splits. Usually you can get your splits in 30 days if you do this

  • i have watched your splits videos many times i practice these stretches a lot and i am starting to see improvment i still have a little less than 3 inches to go but its better than i was when i still had about 5 or 6!

  • If you don't have a partner to push you down into side splits or lift front/back leg in front splits, is there another way?

    I saw one video where a guy positioned a weight plate or two over his hips to get that extra weight, so I might try that. Not sure what to do for front though.... if we bend forward perhaps we would be able to push one arm against the ground and use our other arm to lift the leg? Perhaps somehow slide a book underneath using the forearm? I have no ideas for the back leg.

  • @tyciol you can hold your arms out to the sides and try to push down but still need to keep stretching to make your muscles more flexilble

  • @samtsuifan100 there is nothing wrong with stretching often - that is good. You just shouldn't stretch to where you are in pain

  • @babyydoll1009 Do all the stretches for splits (we have 3 vids with tips) and the tips in our needle & jete vids. Stretch 20-30 mins a day to build your flexibility

  • I have my left leg reeally flexible but my right leg I'm working on my right split but it's not working I'm not getting any better I stretched for two hours two days ago and held the stretches for a few songs but I'm still not able to do it will I just keep doing that everyday ???? :) :))

  • @andreaxxfarrellyxoxo yes - one leg is always easier than the other. Mix up your stretches (use ones from our 3 vids plus needle & jetes)

  • sometimes I can do the splits but the next day I can't. I have been trying to get my plits for over 5 months now and i think I've almost got the splits but the problem is, I can do almost all warmups perfectly and they don't seem to help much anymore. how do I get my splits with being able to still do it the next day

  • @candycandyyum99 keep working on it & make sure your muscles are warmed up before you try. The more you stretch & practice - the easier it will get

  • @just2amazinggymnast ask someone to help you to push to get the last inches, or hold your arms out to your sides & try to push down, or tense all your muscles, hold then relax (you usually end up going down a bit flatter)

  • @SackGirlie definitely start gymnastics again! feet position sometimes depends on if it is for dance, gymnastics, martial arts or a certain routine

  • @flexiblegymnast8 we live in canada - for a pulled muscle, you can ice it - 5 mins on & 5 mins off. If your back leg is bent, it means that your muscles aren't ready to go all the way down. You have to keep stretching to get more flexible.
