Te Rauparaha haka relates what he sees whilst cowering in a Kumara pit and a Haka is not entirely a War dance and that can be weaned from the translation too. Surely there has to be some honesty about that. A Siva Tau is a war dance (literal translation as are the words.) I think you get far too defensive bro but your language suggests that watching whitey erode your land rights etc weighs heavy. Don't fret bro apparently Key will settle all treaty claims by 2015. That to me would be a miracle.

The Te Rauparaha haka is not actually meant for war, it's more of victory celebration.There are many different kinds of hakas.There are hakas of sadness,contempt,victory, happiness,etc.
