Need help here!!!! I have an external hard drive of 2 TB, but when I conected to the computer it says that I can't open it...that I need to format the hard drive. The problem here is I have very important information in that hard drive and IfI formated the hard drive I will lost everything I have there. I want to have a copy of ev erything on my computer (Make a back up) But I can't open the hard drive. What can I do???

Hi, I need some help please, my laptop broke, I kept the hard drive and now i have a new laptop. My old laptop was a Compaq and my new one is an Acer. Can i switch still switch HDD so i can put my old files onto an external HDD then switch back? Or can i use some sort of cable to transform my old HHD into some sort of pendrive so i can recover my files?

hello mate i really need help i of got vista on my hard drive and i have the CD so i was wondering could you so me how to make a partition so i can factory reset like on notebooks without CD drive because i can not be assed to put CD in every time

I am desperately in need of your help! While trying to install Windows 7, I deleted the C: Partition instead of formatting it. Now I am unable to install any OS because the hard drive in not being detected. Is there anything I can do?

@DJRemarkable1026 Either create a new partition through the installing CD at set up process or use another PC and go into disk management and format your HDD which should be listed (which doing it this way way will automatically create a new partition), or just create a new partition on the drive. Please note that if you deleted the C: partition chance is you have lost all data on that partition.

@SiriusComputers Hey i have a similar problem I installed everything correct but my hdd doesn't show up on windows 7... it only shows c drive where my os is installed but my 2tb hdd doesnt show up as any drive I only have a c: drive thats it.... but when I go to device manager I han see both drives installed?
