I was doing front squats today with a heavy but comfortable weight I have been usiing for a while and when I brought it out of the rack I started shaking uncontrollably. I wasnt quite blacking out though. I tryed to rack it but my legs were shaking so bad I couldnt . I dropped the weight down to my elbows and still was shaking uncontrollably and finally dropped it. I was still shaking for a few seconds after. not quite sure what caused this was it air or blood being cut off? can anyone help

i don't. I did 405 for 16 on squats last saturday. It's just that I only tend to tape the lower rep stuff as I would think watching someone lift lighter weights for 15-20 reps would get boring

3-4 seconds descent is a long, long time for a heavy squat. Besides i don't think he is doing it too fast at all: the pace is fine and he completes FULL reps.

If he did the negative portion of the rep with a 3-4 second descent, he would NEVER get 5 reps. It really amazes me to see such sloppy form. The rep done slowly is the one that takes the life out of the muscle, and that is the part he "cheats" on. Mike Mentzer was very anal about this concept and was a very respected body builder and trainer.
