  • the to blocks near the end 1:27 looks like 2 of the beginning blocks in maezato no tekko

  • tarcza jest a co w prawej ręce...wykałaczka

  • Well there you go. I'd always been perplexed by how the Japanese never seem to have had a system involving a shield. But now I know they had at least one.

I'd be interested in comparing this with I.33 (European sword and buckler) and rotella... Maybe in a bout.

  • @SamGCampbell The Japanese have never had a system involving a shield, actually. The Timbe Rochin is an Okinawan kobudo and no matter that Japan annexed them 139 years ago, the majority of Okinawans don't consider themselves Japanese. It's a small point, but important, I think. That said, I hold the art of the TImbei in rather high respect and I hope to learn it one day.

  • @SamGCampbell with timbe rochin you carry three or for rochin in your obi so a bout might be difficult as rochin can be thrown like shuriken jutsu,in the kata there are a number of places where you throw the rochin,

    the bunkai is exaptionally good

  • @retardedjoe12 Cool, I didn'y know that. :D

  • the performance of this kata is very good. In the end, at naore, you should have to take tinbe and rochin into your right hand.

  • very god kata, not too long and practical techniques, Im sure one could use sai with the tinbe as well

  • one of the better presentations of Tinbe and Rochin that i have seen

  • cool
