Why are people saying ace did great and this should still be the line up? Ace missed about 5 notes in that solo and he even fucked up the trill. And peter has zero enthusiasim while he plays now. Ace and peter arent half the musicions they once were. Look at todays line up and theres much more energy even though its been over 10 years.

Ace has always had that "sloppy" sounds, esp live. That's what makes him unique. He's nailing the solos, even though they sound rough at times. If you want to hear these solos played smoothly go see Fake Ace live. He'll play the solos note for note, but it's nowhere NEAR what Ace can do with them. It's rock and roll, not paint by numbers.

And in 1995, right before the re-union, there was no bigger washed up joke than Ace Frehley. I followed him around while he was on tour from early spring-late summer. His shows were awful. After seeing the skanks hanging around after the show, he can HAVE them. Your insult, or weak attempt at one, was wasted. Try something better.

Ace is unique and is not a bad guitar player ALL the time, but during most of the re-union tour, he was awful. I attended most of the shows in the U.S. on this tour. The farewell tour is even worse. I love Tommy and Eric

well. they've not been nearly as good ever since. the eighties really sucked. and the reunion could have been something but it was only like the ten first shows that were interesting cause they were excited. then peter and ace became uninspired again and paul and gene havent been inspired since 1978 either. for them its just another dya at work, making money. especially for gene. i think the only album without the original lineup that is REALLY good is creatures of the night.

and also i dont have anything against eric or tommy. eric is a great drummer, its just that he doesnt do anything fun anymore. and tommy is quite good altough i think every lick he plays is a complete rip-off from ace. but i dont blame him, cause its pauls and genes idea. maybe they are better now than in 1998 or something but u cant really compare it to the 70's. and what makes the 70's so outstanding is that by that time it was just a great band, not a business company.

this probably wasnt the greatest music night for kiss, but this is one of my favorite versions of strutter i've ever heard. the peter's drumb's sound tight, gene's bass and ace's guitar sounds raw, and paul's vocals don't sound over exagerated to much. it's a sound i think fits kiss well.
