I found this awesome Miss Piggy ringtone! If you love the pig-frog romance, this is for you. Hit up amazon and search for "Deblume Miss Piggy"or type "Miss Piggy Deblume" into itunes ringtones on your iPhone.
Joan was very cute and the funniest comedian but she abandoned her comedic career and now she is the queen of plastic surgery and home shopping. What a waste of talent and a cute face!
I remember watching some reruns of The Joan Rivers Show that first aired on October 9, 1986, which had Pee-Wee Herman just a little after Pee-Wee's Playhouse took off on CBS. Pee-Wee was either the very first or one of her very first special guests on her first episode. In fact the interview spot with Pee-Wee on The Joan Rivers show is posted onto YouTube.
I can't remember if Kermit or Miss Piggy were guest appearances on her show or not.
I don't know how long Miss Piggy had her hair with curls that she had in 1984 (knowing that hair styles with curls were very popular in the 80s). The only other place I've seen her with that curly hair was in the Muppets Family Christmas television special in 1987 and I think she still had it on the MuppeTelevision program in 1989 that lasted only one season on NBC. But in the 90s she went back to straight hair that she had when The Muppet Show was brand new back in 1976.
I'll bet they had a workshop FULL of Miss Piggy heads. they wouldn't even try to wash it. I'm sure they had a big enough budget! hehe It's funny 'cause I used to think about that too.
I saw Joan Rivers on the street 2 years ago and said "Joan I loved you in the Muppets take Manhattan" she smiled and said thank you and waved. Loved this scene, she looks so different pre-surgery #200.
That's true but, the only reason why Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Rowlf, etc. are working at jobs are so that they can have money to put their show on Broadway. Miss Piggy would definitely need to find another job for herself just for putting on their show. (Maybe Joan Rivers doesn't care because, she already has another job for herself, and Miss Piggy doesn't care because, being fired gives her a lot more time to spy on Kermit which is why both of them were laughing from 2:37-2:40).
How can this not fail to make you laugh? Jim Henson was great on finding good celebrity co-star appearances in his Muppet movies that starred in. If Jim were still alive or had lived longer, what would life be for him and for us Muppet fans? I don't know. But all I know is he was a genius with creativity.
That part when their boss says "You Are Fired!" makes me laugh, too. Same with that big powder puff. "Powder Puff for you! And Powder Puff for me!" This is timeless.
It's nice to see Joan Rivers before she was laminated seven times.

What do Joan Rivers and Miss Piggy care? Both of them already have jobs, ...being both television and movie stars.
I have much respect for Joan Rivers. This scene in this muppet movie is great and never fails at making me laugh.
