I have 3 savage 110's 7mm Remington magnum,300 Winchester magnum and a 243,I had and trade a savage 110 in 30-06 and i deeply regret it,these guns are not made for prettying up your gun cabinet but I would put my savage up against "any" high end gun for accuracy and dependability,by the way when you get 1 of these brand new give it a thorough cleaning and lightly lube the bolt it will make the action smoother and remove any factory debris from the bore increasing accuracy.
definatly need ear plugs, fired mine four timesin a row and for a day all i heard was eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. now its great
@radarjason It helps to break the bolt down and clean it to get any factory residue out. Use some Hoppe's 9 liberally with a small paint brush to coat it and the breach. Just watch out with the relief port. If you put too much you will get sprayed. My used 110 had the same issue till I switched lube. Oh, and be sure to tighten the rear nut on the bolt. It won't let the bolt seat if it's not down all the way. I used the arm on a small pair of nail clippers so I wouldn't muck it up
hi im thinking of getting this gun for deer hunting and just shooting at the range. is it an accurate gun and how much did you buy yours for? and how is the stock quality
@kimchinater just paid 250 for mine with excellent blueing perfect walnut stock , bolt was a bit dirty but very to disassemble and clean.trigger pull is stiff, but very accurate rifle.
i had 1 of these and they are great guns, very accurate with a floating barrel I moved up to a savage 11o in 7mm mag and 300 mag,but i want another 30-06....lol
@yumyumfruits recoil isn't too bad. it has the built in shock pad which is nice. but after this video my shoulder wasnt too bad, just ears ringing! i love this rifle because on your end its not bad, but the other end it destroys!
Thanks. I'm getting my gun this saturday. This will definitely be one to consider.

the recoil on these is very manageable.

Nice. Ya id say ,with a good load, the .338 lapua mag is about two 30-06 rounds at once... or maby just a bit less. Savage is topnotch!
