I don't think this is a true movie licened game. mostly because it wasn't realeased to a new movie. the thing that makes movie licened games suck is that they have to be rushed. from the time the movie is announced to about a week before it goes into theaters.this was realesd about a decade after the movies.

you can't have co-op because in some parts of the game , the recruit needs to save all the members from the team and same parts they need to split up . (i played and is cool but it is impossible to have a co-op game) and at the stay puft boss battle , only the recruit has the chance to fight with him and Ergon needs to stay in the car to capture the stay puft.

i can understand alot y they didnt give it open world because the games on the nes(i am damned for even mentioning that i know im sorry) were non linear and made it boring, so in a way they didnt want to take any risks cause those games failed horribly, though the genisis one was non linear too but that was a good game so this arguement kind of feels useless but im still gonna say it.

Further to my previous comment, the only things I didn't like about this game were:

1) It wasn't full-roaming. It would have been cool to have side missions where you busted ghosts and you got to cruise around in Ecto 1.

2) The music was mostly the score from the first film which got a little repetitive - and where was "Let's Make Some Magic"?

3) Sigourney Weaver and Rick Moranis weren't in it. Didn't seem right that Dana and Louis weren't around.

I totally agree with you, zeofromthefuture. An open world environment is actually perfect for this game. The main thread would've been to hunt down the main bad ghost, but also make New York more alive by taking jobs from their customers. Something like that!

#1: No customizalbe characters - The Wii has a female character. It would have been cool if you could have modified the male and female versions to look like yourself. On that note, if they had used the Mii channel like MySims did, it would have made this wish come true. Maybe Redfly will try to do that next time?

#2: Co-op mode - The Wii has two player split screen co-op mode. It would have been cool if four players could choose between the rookie and available Ghostbusters each mission.

I know the Wii and ps2 version got a female ghostbuster to play as.. but wii version only got splitscreen co-op mode in the main story. but the PC Ps3 and and Xbox 360 looks awsome and better lookin, not toony like the Wii and PS2 ports. but ... Toony would be good... if it was base on the "The Real Ghostbusters" cartoons look and style.
