As for making a good living, we do OK but we're both disability support workers, the entire industry is underpaid (before I started maternity leave I was getting just over $15 an hour, now I'm on leave without pay).

The organization provides day support and recreational activities for adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. It's because of the high-risk nature of the work that I had to go on leave so early (client tossed a table at me causing a placental abrupton), but all is good now!
