In a way, I'm sad to see this go. I would always constantly stare at this place going by. My grandparents live across from it. They actually had an escapee run into their house one time. All the stories I've heard of that place is crazy! Always wanted to go and check it out but at the same time I'm like fuuuucccckkkk that lol
Home sweet home. I lived there for many years before they put us back on the streets to leave us for dead and closed there doors. They gave us lots of LSD I suppose for experiment or tests. You cant get a prescription for it so I guess the FDA or whoever did not approve it. The good old days
this place is 100 percent gone right? Cause we were gona put it on mour UE road trip this summer, can some one tell me the current statuss of this place?
88m325tc..this place is looong gone..now they have apartment buildings..is loke a village more..too sad..i used to go there to walk the dog..now we cant
I'm from Northampton, and I poked around there a bit when I was in high school. Cool shit. There used to be a fire escape that I used to gain access through broken windows on the third floor. This was the "State Hospital," but there was also a "State School" in Belchertown, MA for crazy kids....and unfortunately the retarded, or even a girl I heard of whose parents didn't like the guy she was engaged to, so they had her committed. The school is like this now, too.
i went in there like a month ago, it is sum scary shit! people hav wrote stuff on the walls though saying leave now + geto out, i went at night which was even more scary!
i really want to go to an old building of some sort it whoul seem fun especally and asylum to bad the one here in traverse city is being renevated or what ever its called being redone. sucks ass ive heard so many stoires about things there.
Not yet, they want to build some stuff there. I'm not exactly sure what but I'm thinking condos. There was an article on it in the Gazzette the other day, but I didn't have time to read it.

This place looks amazing, I wish they had places of such magnitude wear I live. I'm stuck with exploring much smaller locations for now.

I also admire the portico. Too bad it's gone. This is old old school. Can't wait to see more.
dylux 5 years ago
It's great to see video of these places without the fences. I love that you got the portico before it collapsed too.
