Evert's is a great rider no doubt. But you must not have realized that for the U.S.A. to have won the overall title in England that Stewart had to finish top 3 and be safe. Its not Stewart's style to hold back once in a position to finish on the podium. But to his credit that's what he did after being told in no uncertain terms by Roger Decoster to think of the team victory just before the last moto. You not wish to remember that Everts & Stewart were racing even for most of the race.

yer but do u kno everts beat stewart heads up in both races and it makes me laugh wen u say holding back..... all of us wer shocked about how stewart rides actualy watching him hes wild crazy and he rode lik that the whole race he was hanging on for dear life(wudnt say thats holding back) but everts pulled a gap then stewart looked to back off.

Carmichael already beat him. Carmichael has won 10 outdoor titles and 6 indoor titles.

And it's not like Everts beat Stewart by a lot, but regardless he still beat him. But I think Everts would shit his pants if he ever hopped onto a Supercross track.
