I don't understand ,why Per dislikes the PC-version of "I'm glad, you called"-it's become one of my favorite songs. The version sung by Marie is totally different and her voice sounds vulnerable, a bit less perfect, but very emotional and touching. Per's vocals had to be alterd in order to match thenew meaning of the song and i like them too -I love both versions..it's also nice to sing along.
Per forgot one thing: his own version of "I'm Glad You Called" may be crap for him (but like everything he dislikes we love it mostly and the way around happens too LOL) but Helena's echoing backing vocals sounded a lot more interesting than his own vocals on the Roxette version. Maries does deliever the most beautiful vunerable and sincere interpretation on the song.
I thought (according to some readings I did that Sitting was actually a song from 1986 an old demo that got forgotten until I got into this album. For me it sounded very much 86-ish as it had something similar to the demo of Never Is A Long Time and the From One Heart to Another from POP album. Per kinda says here that the song was actually written during this last year.
After seeing this interview I realized that actually Dream On and After All which are my 2 least fav songs on the album are not so similar at all. Dream On could have been a track that Roxette could have recorded in 92-93 in their acoustic-unplugged days. I kinda place it aside the acoustic songs like "Staring At The Ground" like that vibe actually. "After All" has to be the most Beatles-ish song next to Waiting For The Rain they have ever done.
LOOOL Per could not say "vunerability" when actually that's the noun form of "vunerable" one of his vocal roxette hits from 95 LOOL How funny and ironic LOL
