  • That looks goods!:)

  • Good Morning enjoyed watching your blue corn pancakes video! you did very good speaking & reading in Navajo very well! I Enjoyed it... =0)

  • That blue corn ``powder´´ doesn´t look natural. Looks dyed. FAKE.

you´re making dyed blue pancakes. nothing to do with blue corn.

  • @StreetArtillery Well... its real. Seriously, why do people always have to find something to argue about?

  • @daybreakwarrior Oh it´s real? Okay, my bad. thank you for the recipe.

  • @daybreakwarrior were in the rez are you from

  • @StreetArtillery dont be hating the navajos

  • What time does your cooking show come on and on what channel? :)

  • Ha'at'iila biniinaa bilagaana k'ehjii yanilti'. dloh, dloh, dloh. Dine k'ehji t'ei yanilti'.

  • yesss you should have your own cooking show you'll be confusing all the white people making them look at the translation book for the words while your looking at the instructions and all the navajos will be trying to catch up while your looking at the instructions too haha

  • Your videos are great, very inventive and very informative! Love your lessons with the clear and precise explanations and translations, and the cooking demonstrations are wonderfully clever, too. Please post more, I look forward to learning more of the Navajo language!

  • Great combining of Navajo language instruction with useful culinary advice!

  • Mmmm....I have to try and make this, since I'm far away from grandma's house.

  • Just want to add: Your first pancake was like something else lol your funny in this vid and yet so cute lol XD

  • Hey warrior guy you should have organized yourself first before making your blue corn pancakes but hey thanks anyway. I remember having one like that once when i was little. Now i will make some for my kiddos according to your recipes. Thanks again

  • we only use to use bluecorn meal n cedar ash n mix w/sticks. Best blue cornmeal pancakes ever!! But u Navajo is great, u should do cooking demos n Navajo.

  • You know it would help if you use a small skillet. It forms the pancake better. Then when the edges are turning a light brown flip it. Also let the pancake be kindof thick. Like don't pour it in too watery.

  • My grandma made blue corn pancakes without any of that stuff! The again your not my grandma! Anyway good try, respect!!!

  • Great Video!! Im half Navajo and Apache and im slowly teaching myself to speak both languages since they are very similar to each others. =DD

  • paula dean is a butterholic. but i love her. the other day she was cooking in her son's house and was showing how to make some beautiful cream cheese sandwiches. its killer watching her while im on a diet. looks so good but i can's eat it. lol.

  • Is English your first language? It seems you had to think on the Navajo words. You really do wonderfully though. I was just asking.

  • I only use blue corn meal, flour, powder milk, water, and bakeing powder.

  • My grandma never used all those ingredients, only milk and blue corn meal.

  • Awesome, but make sure you level your bakingpower even.

  • Cool Video!

  • Shił yá'át'ééh. Áádóó I really like how you did the video where you showed how to make chiiłchin...everything in Diné bizaadji' and the words also printed on the screen so I could read them. Nizhónígo ályaa.

  • I have to make some blue corn pancakes. I remember my grandma used to make this all the time, only she didn't use measurements, but it came out perfect everytime. So neat to have the explaination done in Navajo too, makes me remember the terms. So, great job on the presentation. Hope you will do some more - and have all ingredients measured out beforehand. I think guys make better chefs - my better half cooks better than me. heee

  • ..... guess there is no need for verification of this compound !! pharmacist already in the house ... heh !!

  • lol... funny!

  • U speak really gud navajo, and has a family with gud teachings of Navajo Traditions. Why go to whitemans church, jus out of curiosity????

  • It's not a White Man's church. From God, I have peace, comfort, love, & forgiveness. I've seen how God has worked in my life & many times He delivered me from trials. I've seen how He has changed my extended family, delivering them from alcoholism, broken homes, etc. With Christ in my life, I don't have to worry about tomorrow. The Church is everything for me.

  • @daybreakwarrior thats always a great thing. hang in their. fight the good fight finish the race with pateince. :) As I tell my facebook buddies. Jesus ayor anosh' ni. Love the videos by the way. Theirs a man named micca who did a navajo language video. Thanks again. :)

  • I am what they call a half breed myself, lol. But I am part Tuscarora. Christ found me when I moved out here to CO. I really didn't know God. I watched these videos the church videos spoke to my heart. I had been wrong for a long time. I realise thier is one God and He loves me. Jesus was of the tribe of Judah. Many white folks are lost. Its not the color of skin its the color of the heart whether it is red by the blood of the lamb. Whether you're sins are covered. :)

  • Nice video me and mom made this the other day for dad he said it was yummy except me and mom somehow got the kitchen all messy lol somehow idk how but ya i did

  • the batter seems awful thin... I think the measurements in the paper might be wrong... you have 3 times more liquid then dry ingredients, still think I will try it... if I can find blue corn flour in my area.

  • You're right, it's way too thin. The correct proportions are an equal amount of dry ingredients to liquid ingredients. If there is only 1 cup of the blue cornmeal and flour, then use only 1 cup of the water with milk. You can find blue cornmeal online at purcellmountainfarms.

  • Ya'at'eeh. Navaho is a beautiful language. Thank you for the interesting video. The pancakes sound yummy. Have a great day!

  • haha i wish i was there to do this you. where was i. anyways. that's all cool

  • Blue corn,,,i love it!! So glad u know your Navajo language too!

Can u post more native cooking videos???

  • I think you need your own cooking show, minus the directions you are reading off from the Navajo Times... Can't wait to see someone butcher a sheep on here.... yummy

    much love,

    naabaahiidine

  • Pretty good presentation. I would love to see more cooking in Navajo.

  • That was soooooooooooo funny, you cooked like a good man there, hahaha! And it was in Navajo too. That was just so cool and funny. I've been wanting to do one of those things too, for kicks.

You didn't have any potatoes in the morning?

  • Bleh the navajo times doesn't put that section up on its website - duh.

  • Nice video..

I did not know that the Navajo times made a cooking section..

i have to take a closer look at that paper.. =)

    -Frisco the Navajo
